Aria’s P.O.V

After cuddling with Mio for a while and getting a new room. I made sure to place us some minor enchantments just in case of spying or danger.

“Reconnaissance?” Mio questioned as I mentioned it to her.

“Yeah, If I rember you’re able to enter shadows and move around, correct?” I said as she nodded.

“Yes, so long as there is a shadow, I can remain hidden even if it’s the middle of the day.” She told me making me nod.

“Good, I want you to investigate that the elder’s son, Adonou, who had came in abruptly during the meeting earlier. He seemed to be up to no good.” I told her.

“Then there’s that pervert you had sent flying not to long ago. I just need you make sure he wasn’t too badly hurt.” I told her.

“Wouldn’t it be fine if that pervert just died?” Mio questioned as I shook my head.

“As much as I agree, it wil only cause more problems later on. Also I felt a odd presence when I shook his hand. It felt like I was talking to two people instead of one.” I told her as I wanted to use Soul Sight on the guy, but didn’t want to be too obvious about it.

“Anyways, I’m counting on you Mio.” I told her.

“Spying! I saw that in your memories! Those pictures of thieves!” She said making me raise a brow before shrugging.

“I guess you can put it like that.” I replied.

“I’ve wanted to try it myself! I understand, I’ll head out immediately!” She said hyped up now.

“Okay, be careful.” I told her a she started to walk into the shadows.

“Hehe~ I’d love to travel the world and steal treasures with you, Young Miss…Well then.” She said before disappearing.

Well I could still sense her presence due to my own connections to the shadows, but that’s a special case.

“Now then, what do I do about this?” I questioned as I brought out my Zanpakutos that we’re glowing a bit.

One a white holy light while the other a dark purple emitting like miasma.

‘Let’s see if I can build a connection now.’ I thought.

-Time Skip-

It didn’t take long for Mio to come back with some useful information ad I reviewed over it.

‘So the Pervert Master here is possessed by somthing while Adonou is connected to the demons. Makes sense due to his agenda is trying to change his father’s outlook.‘ I thought.

“Thank you, Mio. This will be very helpful.” I told her as I have her some head pats.

‘I know you only just returned, but do you mind swapping with Tomoe? I would like to ask her something about this village.‘ I told her.

‘Oh, is it about the barrier she casted over it? It seems to be rather old.‘ Mio said confirming my thoughts.

‘So it is actually her’s.‘ I thought as I crossed my arms.

‘Based on the feeling of mana, it should be. So what do you mean by swapping with Tomoe?’Mio questioned.

‘I sent those adventurers following us from before there and told Tomoe to keep an eye on them. So you’ll be taking that role for a bit.‘ I told her.

‘…Oh yes, they weren’t there anymore.‘ She said making me giggle as she had completely forgotten about them.

‘Very well, I will do just that.’ She told me as I nodded and made a mist Gate for her before closing it behind her.

Some time later, a female forest ogre came to get me for this feast of theirs.

“Dear guest, we have prepared the feast…. what about your companion?” She asked.

“Oh, she wasn’t feeling too good, so she’s resting currently.” I responded as I glanced back at the bed.

‘It’s a good thing I practiced my illusion Magic during training.’ I thought as the Mio in bed was hard to tell apart from the real one.

“I’ll go without her.” I told her.

“…I see, very well.” She said before leading me to where this festival of theirs was going to be held.

Upon arriving I was given food and drinks as I sat at a table and watched the dancers entertain the crowds.

‘Such a beautiful dance, Hm? Isn’t that the perv Mondo and Adonou?’ I thought as looked over the two.

Suddenly, Mondo grabbed Adonou by his throat much to his shock.

“Mondo, what are you-?!” He was cut off as a black and purple mist flew out of Mondo’s mouth and into the air.

While this was happening, Adonou was quickly turning to a husk which I didn’t really bother with since he was troublesome from the start.

Soon an entity started to form, as it’s body consisted of bones and dark miasma.

Standing up I glared slighy at the unknown monster.

“Want to answer on why you killed them?” I asked it as it faced me.

“…I only sucked out enough of this one’s life to manifest. He just can’t move.” It told me.

“However, that one is connected to a troublesome woman. I didn’t want hin to hider me so I killed him.” He told me making me just shrug.

“So you had falling out or something? Why do you appear now?” I questioned him.

“Falling out? Incorrect. I need no allies. My aim was the woman accompanying you. I have some questions for you, no need to worry. I won’t kill you.” It told me.

‘Not like you could.’ I thought as I was ready to pull out my Zanpakuto to deal with this guy.

“An undead has questions for me? I don’t know whether I should be honored or disgusted.” I said he ignored my words.

“Do not associate me with lower undying races like ghouls.” He told me as I nodded.

“I know that, it’s more obvious than not what you are. The way you use magic to kill others in pursuit of knowledge and magic, a magician with a now undying body, Your A Lich.” I stated.

“…Splendid, you are mostly right. I am a lich. As you know about me, I wish to know about you.” He said as I shrugged.

“You can consider me many things, but just consider me as a Human.” I told him.

“A Human? That is the ancient race said to be the ancestors of Hyumans. So you aren’t a grant…however, I also lack understanding of your kind.” He said as I stared at him.

“In order to help me rise to grant. I want to examine you.” He told.

“Well it’s actually my first time hearing of these Grants, but it sounds like they are a species above Hyumans. The pursuit of knowledge and magic requires an eternity, doesn’t it?” I questioned.

“Since you’ve already obtained an eternal body, is your goal now to evolve to a superior being? Somthing even greater?” I asked him.

“Intelligent.” He said as I just shrugged.

‘It was easy to see with all the clues.’ I thought.

“Your resistance to my miasma is also intriguing. It would likely only only inhibit your mind and body, but if you avoid it. The weakened forest ogres won’t get off lightly.” He told me as I glanced behind me to see that the Forest Ogres were really affected by this stuff.

‘Hm, well no matter I’ll just take him head on.’ I thought.

“Now then Human, serve as a source of knowledge for me.” He said as she launched a miasma attack at me.

“Miasma? Really? With such a thing you won’t do any damage to me.”I told him as I stood completely fine under the attacks shocking him.

“Wh- My magic didn’t work?!” He shouted as I held out my hand and made my Zanpakuto appear.

Pointing the tip at him, I let it glow a mysterious purple.

“Gluttony.” I casted as immediately the Lich began to feel weaker.

“Gh! What spell was that?! I’ve never seen such a spell before! What is going on?!” He questioned as Gluttony began to eat at his magic.

“Stop! Do not consume me! I will become a grant… I.. Once again I’ll disappear… no…“He said as was on the ground infront of me weak and unable to do anything.

‘Hm, Father is right. When you know your opponents is out for the count it makes you feel better.’ I thought as I noticed a familiar scent and presence.

‘You finally show up, Tomoe.‘ I said as she came up to my side.

‘I would like to talk to this Lich later, cam you handle it?’ I asked her.

‘As you wish, Young Miss.‘ She said as she began to send the Lich away through a mist Gate.

“The lich is disappearing!!!” Someone in the crowd shouted as I just ignored them.

Placing my Zanpakuto back in my inventory, I had to take a bit to calm myself since I was still in battle mode just in case anything else happened.

“You’re Nilgistry, aren’t you? It’s nice to see you’re still alive and well.” Tomoe said as I turned around facing the crowd of forest ogres.

“…I don’t recall ever meeting you. How do you know my name? Who are you?” Nilgistry questioned her.

“…Come on, you begged me for that phantom mist barrier.” Tomoe said making him shocked in a different way then expecting.

“H-How do you know about the barrier?!” He questioned her which made Tomoe a bit pissed as she raised her power a bit.

“ I merely change my form and you can’t tell who I am?! You must have gone senile, Nilgistry.” Tomoe said in a cold tone as Immediately Nilgistry looked on in shock.

“Sh-Shin?!” He shouted shocked before turning to his people.

“Kneel and lower your heads! This is the great Dragon Shin!” Nilgistry told all of his people as they began to follow his words.

“I would prefer if you held that attitude towards the Young Miss rather than me. Oh well.” She said making me shake my head as I just wanted to take a break now.

“Great Shin, Beware! She is dangerous!” Nilgistry said

“She intruded in our forest, so we held this feast.” An Elder continued.

“To lower her guard, so we could execute her…” Another Elder.

“And when that lich appeared, she used some bizarre magic to completely overwhelm it!” Another elder.

“Please protect us great Shin!” finished by the last elder.

I face palmed at this as I should have noticed they we’re trying to get me to lower my guard.

“I’m really getting too lax here.” I sighed.

“Can’t you speak one at a time? How irritating. Pardon their rudeness, Young Miss.” Tomoe said as I just shrugged and leaned on her since she was the only thing near at the moment.

“Young Miss?” Nilgistry questioned.

“Indeed, I am this person’s servant and lover.” She said making me glance up at her with narrowed eyes as she didn’t have to say all that.

Immediately the elders had all collapsed making the ogres try to help them out.

“Did the faint? I’ve seen it so many times!” Tomoe laughed as I just shook my head decided to take rest a bit from all this.

Taking on a smaller form as a cute little platinum blonde fox with 9 bushy tails.

This surprised many who saw me, but I didn’t care currently. I needed to rest my mind after today.

So I just jumped up into Tomoe’s arms and once I found comfort I closed me eyes and told the system to hold all notifications for tomorrow.

-Time Skip-

Waking up the next day I found myself in between the busoms of both Mio and Tomoe.

Opening up the system like usual I did my spin, and won something cool.

Flying Thunder God Jutsu: Host Is Now Able To Teleport Instantly To Any Mark They Left Behind Or Placed No Matter How Far The Location.

Note: Can Be Used In Combat To Fool Opponents.

After receiving this me and Tomoe went back to the forest where we got told some information about an old spell that orges used to imprison human trouble makers.

I being curious tried tk break the spell only to semi succeed. They we’re no longer completely bond to the trees, but we’re now something similar to nymphs pr drayds as you will.

The good thing is that they don’t remember anything before they were released. So I had spent some time giving them names and the basic run down of things.

I even allowed them to move in to special space since I felt like they would be a great contribution.

The Forest ogres though will have to wait since the potency of that spell is dangerous even if it can’t work on me.

After discussing about everything happening. It was finally to confront the one I’ve been itching too meet again.

“Well then, why don’t we have chat, Mr. Lich.”

Hey Guys Sorry For The Chapter, Whenever This Gets Posted Please Know I stayed up till 4:17 to get the chapter done😭😂😭😂 Anyways Hope You enjoyed.

Edit: Sorry For The Late Post, I’ve been exhausted because of the 3rd Quarter start ups and I immediately hit the hay after getting home yesterday.😭🙃

Anyways I saw and read all of your responses on the announcement and I found them all very interesting. Though I do hope you guys know you could have made other anime suggestions 😂😂 that’s what the announcement was for really, but it’s fine as I ended up picking an anime already so now it’s just a matter of actually starting it up.

Also, to my follower Natrual and to those who also have the opinion. I completely understand where your coming from, I do have many stories that I have abandoned and should try to get back into, but trying to do that is not really my style and also if I gave up on a story it’s because the flaws of what I wrote, we’re already showing upon moving on forward into the story.

For example, Rising Of The Empress. I made Shina with the intent of her being stronger than most, but weaker than a few. That didn’t come out as planned as well as her and Rias’s relationship just felt really really rushed. There was no backbone to it, no real amount of history or talks… it was just really weird from my standpoint.

So I just dropped it and left it at chapter 13.
