Chapter 12

Sienna’s Pov :

I was in my apartment getting ready for the game, Camden had texted me earlier during my lunch break, reminding me to be ready by 7. He, Mia, and I were all heading to Gainbridge Fieldhouse to watch the Seattle Storm take on the Indiana Fever.

After much deliberation, I settled on a black crop top, layering it with a red bomber jacket. I paired them with green baggy cargo pants and my Nike Panda Dunks. The fit was casual yet stylish-perfect for a basketball game. Just as I finished touching up my makeup, I glanced at my phone. 6:58 PM. Right on time.

By the time 7 PM hit, Right on cue, my phone buzzed. Camden: Outside.

I grabbed my small black purse, locked my apartment door, and hurried downstairs.. By the time I reached the parking lot, Camden’s car was waiting, the engine humming softly. I slid into the backseat, I was greeted by the sight of my two favorite people.

“Hey, babes!” I said, hugging Mia first and kissing her cheek before doing the same to Camden.

“Damn, Sienna. You took your sweet time,” Camden teased, shaking his head with a chuckle as I settled into the seat.

“Beauty takes time, Cam,” I shot back, buckling my seatbelt.

As we drove toward the arena, we fell into easy conversation about our busy days. Camden talked about his upcoming game against the Seattle Seahawks, his voice brimming with excitement and determination. Mia, on the other hand, was thrilled about her company’s new cosmetic brand launch.

Then, almost without thinking, I blurted out, “Guys, I have to tell you something before we get to the game. I was going to wait until afterward, but I can’t keep it in anymore.”

Mia and Camden both turned to me curiously. The streetlight outside illuminated my face, and Camden squinted at me.

“What is it, Cupcake?” he asked, using his childhood nickname for me.

Mia, equally intrigued, leaned forward. “Yeah, spill.”

I took another deep breath and rushed out, “IhungoutwithCaitlin.”

Both of them stared at me, confused.

“Sienna, babes, breathe,” Mia said, her brows raised. “Say it slower this time.”

I inhaled, this time pacing myself. “I hung out with Caitlin last Saturday. She took me out on a picnic by this beautiful lake.”

I couldn’t help but smile at the memory.

The twins gasped simultaneously. “WHAT?!” they exclaimed.

Camden looked personally offended. “Why didn’t we know this before? We literally had movie night on Sunday!”

Mia folded her arms. “Yeah, girl, what the hell?”

I shrugged, playing innocent. “It just never came up, I guess.”

Silence filled the car for a moment until Camden broke it.

“Sooooo… do you like Caitlin or…?”

I nearly choked. “No-no, Cam. Clark and I, we’re just friends. Nothing more. Besides, I have a boyfriend.”

Mia smirked knowingly, while Camden hummed clearly unconvinced. I ignored them and stared out the window as we neared the arena.

After that slightly awkward exchange, we drove in comfortable silence until we reached Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The moment we stepped inside, the energy was electric. The arena was filled with fans-Seattle Storm fans, but mostly Fever fans.

Camden turned to us, shouting over the loud crowd, “Wow! Who would’ve thought it’d be packed? So what they say about the Caitlin Clark effect is real, huh?”

I scanned the court, my eyes landing on a familiar figure stretching and laughing with her teammates. Caitlin.

My stomach did a little flip.

“So, where are we sitting, Cam?” I asked, forcing myself to focus.

Camden smirked mischievously. “Oh, darling, we’re sitting courtside. Where you can be easily spotted by Miss Clark.”

I rolled my eyes. “You meant to do this, didn’t you? You like seeing me suffer.”

Mia chuckled, shaking her head at her brother’s antics.

We made our way to our seats, courtside.

Caitlin’s Pov :

I was goofing around with Lexie when I heard Sophie call out, “Yo Cait, looks like you have a special guest tonight.”

Tilting my head, I followed her gaze toward the courtside seats. My smile widened at the sight of Sienna, sitting with Mia and Camden. But my excitement was short-lived when I noticed someone else approaching her.

Nika Mühl.

She walked over to Sienna with a flirty smile and mischievous brown eyes, leaning in closer than necessary. My jaw clenched.

“Wow, Cait, looks like you have competition,” Lexie teased beside me, snickering.

Kelsey chimed in, grinning. “Yeah, rook, looks like you’ve got competition. And from the beautiful Nika Mühl at that.”

I rolled my eyes. “Whatever, guys. Let’s just beat them.”

But I couldn’t shake the irritation clawing at my chest. Seeing Nika approach Sienna, the way she smiled at her-

It grated on my nerves.

I bit the inside of my cheek, trying to focus, but my eyes kept drifting back to Sienna. She looked good. Too good. The kind of good that turned heads. Even Nika Mühl couldn’t resist checking her out and flirting.

And that pissed me off more than I cared to admit.

But one thing was for sure-

I was about to play my ass off tonight.
