She ended that call and I soon fell asleep, feeling much better that I did just minutes prior.

I woke Friday morning feeling good about the day. I was going to see Kaylin tonight and that gave me such a reassuring feeling. I picked out one of my favorite outfits and left for work. “Trust me, I said we were going to talk tonight, and we will. Let’s enjoy lunch and each other’s company right now.” Her answer was reassuring but I was still not totally sure what she was up to.

We finished our lunch and Kaylin walked me back to work, hand in hand as we entered the building. I told her she could ride up to my floor, but I had a meeting to get to soon and couldn’t visit.
