                                                            Chapter Thirteen

                               ~~~~~ Kylie – New life changing Decisions ~~~~~

No matter how hard she tried, Rachael did not allow Kylie to decline her offer. Either Kylie was staying with the Smiths or she was staying with the Smiths. She walked slowly to Rachael’s car after the store was closed the the alarm was armed. Kylie was thinking about how she could to get out of the situation without hurting anybody’s feelings especially her new boss’s feelings. When she least expected it Kylie was stopped dead in her tracks stunned to what she was seeing right in front of her.

Kylie had never seen such a beautiful car. The black paint so shinny she could see the reflexion of her surrounding as if it were displayed in high definition. Not even a dust particle could be seen on the car. It was just breathtakingly beautiful. Her old car was a piece of junk compared to Rachael’s car.

“That was exactly my reaction when I first saw it.” Alex said behind her also staring at the car with awe.

“What kind of car is it?” Kylie was never a car person. She only knew the basic models like Toyota’s and Ford’s, not the luxurious expensive ones. She had never even been so close to an expensive car before until now. She remembered taking Gabe to a car show but she just liked to see what kind of crazy people attended suck events.

“That my friend, is a $200,000 2011 Aston Martin DB9.” Kylie’s jaw dropped to the ground. She looked at the car again with wide eyes. There was no way in a million years that she could ever afford to sit in an Ashton Martin. The car was pleasant to the eye but somehow sucked you in and did not let you go without you admitting that you want the car and only get the satisfaction you desire until you sit and drive your own $200,000 2011 Aston Martin DB9.

“Kylie get in we don’t have all day!” Rachael looked at the scared girl and literally had to drag her and push her inside the car with all her things. Kylie just sat there trying not to touch or break anything. If she could not afford a meal, there was no way she could afford to pay something on a $200,000 car no matter how small that something is.

The leather seat was incredibly comfortable. The car somehow still managed to have the new car smell which did not help Kylie relax since it reminded her of how expensive the car is. Both the exterior and interior of the car were just amazing to look at.

Alex surprisingly sat in the back with Kylie instead if the front with Rachael. A huge smile came upon both their faces as they looked at each other. 

This is going to be a long drive. Kylie thought to herself closing her eyes desperately trying to control her beating heart and the urge to kiss the girl once again.

The drive was completely and utterly awkward. Rachael kept asking her questions she either did not want to answer or she simply did not know the answer to the the question. She didn’t know what career she wanted to take since she had currently no stable income to assure she could afford one. She didn’t even know what college she was going to. Kylie just lives day by day, trying to worry about tomorrow when tomorrow actually arrives.

“Well, I don’t really know.” Another answer to yet another hard question. This time Rachael got the point and dropped the subject.

Alex was staring out the window not paying attention to anything in particular. She seemed lost in her own personal world. Kylie also looked out the window and tried to also loose herself like Alex.

The night sky could barely be seen with all the city lights on, but Kylie imagined the night sky with millions of stars illuminating it. In her dream nothing was wrong. Nothing was out of place. She was happy here, her own personal heaven.

Then stars all aligned together creating an image in the sky. After a few more seconds, a very familiar face was staring at her from above. Kylie smiled and waved. The image winked and waved back. The image portrayed one of Kylie’s favorite smile expressed in Alex’s beautiful face. She blushed and tried to erase the image after realizing what she was doing. Even as a dream Alex still managed to make Kylie blush.

Minutes later, Kylie was in front of the Smith house again. She didn’t dare move. She still hoped that Rachael would change her mind, that she would just let her go to a hotel. But no, Rachael yelled for her to get inside.

“Trust me, you don’t want to argue with her. I’ve tried but it got me nowhere.” Kylie turned to the girl and smiled.

She was there, right in front of her. All Kylie ever wanted since the moment they met was to have the beautiful girl. And now, her wish had been granted. Alex was at arms length. All she had to do was extend her hand.

“Shall we?” Kylie asked grabbing Alex’s hand. Alex smiled at her exposing those dimples that drive Kylie crazy. Somehow Kylie managed not to jump up and down from excitement and not to faint due to their close proximity.

Kylie had made up her mind. She would fight for Alex. No matter what, Alex was going to be hers. Every single particle that made up Alexandria Santiago was going to be hers.

They walked inside the house hand in hand. Nothing mattered, nothing was more important than them holding hands and taking on the world, together.

After her first dinner with the Smiths, Kylie was extremely happy. She sat next to the beautiful Alex, talked pleasantly with Mike and Rachael, who she found out got mad when she referred to the them as Mr. or Mrs. Smith.

“Oh trust me don’t ever call them that. I think that it makes them realize that they are no longer single and young but married and old.” Alex joked.

Both Mike and Rachael started to throw grapes at Alex. Kylie laughed as she saw Alex trying to hide herself under the table avoiding the grapes. When Alex was completely out of sight Rachael and Mike turned to each other and smiles deviously.

“No, no. I didn’t mean to laugh!” Kylie yelled covering herself with her arms. After a few seconds of nothing happening she uncovered herself thinking it was safe to do so. She opened her eyes slowly and saw Mike, Rachel, and Alex with a bunch grapes in their hands. Alex was throwing and catching a grape with a hand that was not full with grapes eying Kylie carefully. Suddenly Kylie knew to run when she saw Alex with an evil look on her face.

“Dude you better not.” Kylie tried to sound tough but her voice cracked when Alex took aim and got ready to throw the grape.

“Welcome to the Smith residence!” The three of them said in unison as they threw grapes at Kylie. She ran all around the house avoiding the halls that lead to a dead end. Well at least she got a tour.

“Where in the world did all those stupid grapes come from?” Kylie asked them. All three of them looked at each other and shrugged. The war had gone for 30 minutes straight. Grapes could be found everywhere around the house. Kylie was sweaty and smelled like grapes as did everyone else. The couches were probably wishing they were never made white.

“Where are you’re shoes?” Alex asked her. Kylie looked at her feet and saw that her sandals were gone. “I have no idea.” She said shrugging her shoulders. They all erupted with laughter looking at Kylie wiggling her toes.

“Hey you know what we need?” Rachael got up and asked. Everyone followed her with their eyes as she walked over to the sound system and turned it on putting a CD in. Within seconds a song came on surrounding the house.

Rachael danced her way down to Mike. She sway to the music and sang along doing motions with her hands.

“Imagine me and you, I do

To think about the girl you love and hold her tight

She did a little skip putting one foot in front of the other as she sang her way to where Mike was sitting. She extended her hands which Mike gladly took. They sang and danced along with the music.

“May I have this dance?” Kylie looked up and saw Alexandria extending her hand. She didn’t hesitate ans took the girl’s hand.

“If I should call you up, invest a dime
And you say you belong to me and ease my mind
Imagine how the world could be, so very fine
So happy together.”

Kylie was surprised that Alex could dance so well. She moved her body to the music not exaggerating her movements or making them too dull. Kylie kept up with the girl and found it easy to do so. Something she could never do with Anthony or anybody else for that matter.

Both pairs were having the time of their lives. They sang at the top of their lungs not caring if they were making fools out of themselves. Kylie enjoyed every minute of it. She watched as he dance partner smiled at her and couldn’t help but return the smile.

Kylie looked into Alex’s eyes and sang to her meaning every word. She grabbed Alex by the waist bringing the girl closer to her body.

“Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba
Ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba ba-ba-ba-ba”

Singing louder than ever, off and on key, kicking and screaming, they sang and danced to the song. No one cared who sang the best or worst, they enjoyed themselves and each others company, nothing or no one else mattered.

The singing and dancing went for hours. Rachael and Mike were still dancing to a slow song looking at each other. Mike bent down a gave Rachael a kiss while still moving along to the music.

Kylie grabbed Alex by the waist and danced with her one last time. After a while the song got a little faster which made Kylie dip Alex. The move was elegantly done by both girls.

Alex looked at Kylie stunned. “What, no one has ever swept you off your feet before?” Kylie asked looking down at the stunned girl. Kylie still had her in her arms not wanting to let her go. Alex had her leg stretched out balancing herself not breaking eye contact. Alex shook her head no.

“Well then let’s change that shall we?” Kylie picked Alex up and spun her around only to bring her back to her body. She laughed and enjoyed to see Alex stunned and confused, the girl was too adorable. This was the first time she had seen the girl stunned to the point to where she was speechless.

I told you there was going to be a kiss.. I didn’t say Kylie and Alex were going to kiss.
