Chapter 3

Natalie’s POV

I haven’t heard from Katie since yesterday. I texted her to see if she was okay but she hasn’t answered me. I’m kind of worried. I’m sure I can ask her when I get to school. If she’s there I mean, I hope she’s there. I really want to see her, I mean yeah I hope everything is okay but I also really wanna see her. Hug her, look into her eyes, wait I’m being weird I need to shut up and just stop.

I get to school and she’s not at her locker. The bell rings and I sigh and get my stuff and run to class. I get there and she’s not in class either. I frown and walk to my seat and get ready for the lesson to start. Ten minutes of boredom goes by and I hear someone walk into the class, Katie, she walks up to our teacher and hands her a pink piece of paper, which I’m assuming is a pass for being late, and they talk quietly for a moment before Katie walks to her seat. I couldn’t hear what they were saying. Katie looks tired and upset… I don’t know if I should give her space or talk to her and make sure she’s okay… She hasn’t texted me back after all, maybe she just doesn’t want to talk to me. I might just give it one more shot.

After class I stop Katie before she leaves the room and walk out with her, “hey um are you okay? I’m just making sure cause you didn’t text back and you left in a hurry yesterday I just wanted to make sure everything was okay..” I kinda trailed off feeling annoying. “I’m sorry I haven’t been answering. Just some family shit has been going on. Don’t worry about it I’ll be okay. Nothing I haven’t dealt with before.” She sighs as she looks down. We stop at my locker and I begin to put in my comb. “Oh I’m sorry I left in such a hurry yesterday too by the way. My mom needed me… Like I said family things. But I will make it up to you” she says with a wink. ” I have to get my stuff from my locker. I’ll see you in class” she says with a smile and one more wink then walks away. That ass damn. I hate to see her go but I love to watch that girl leave.

The rest of the day goes by and Katie and I didn’t talk much but exchanged a few smiles here and there. Maybe a few winks and “accidental” butt touches on my part which she didn’t seem to mind. At the end of the day I get my stuff from my locker and start to walk out to my car. Katie runs up calling my name. I stop so she can catch up, “hey wanna hangout later?” She asks me, I smile and look down for a second. ” of course. Where do you wanna meet up at?” I ask as we walk to my car. “Doesn’t matter to me. I just have to get some stuff done at home first and I can text you later and let you know?” I nodded, “yeah sounds good maybe we can finish what we started yesterday?” I ask with a wink and a smile. “You never know what might happen.” She smiles as she walks away to her car across the lot. I laugh and shake my head,”I’ll see you later” I yell as I get into my car.

Hey guys sorry I haven’t updated in forever. Imma try and update more now. Next should be “the date” I’ll hopefully have that up soon but drop a comment on some ideas of maybe a place or situation or kik me with any ideas if you like
