Chapter 141
Lisa should’ve known she was doomed the moment she opened TikTok at 2AM.
One innocent scroll turned into ten.
Ten turned into fifty.
And suddenly-
“A BABY DINOSAUR SKELETON COSTUME?!” Lisa gasped dramatically in bed.
Beside her, Jennie barely moved under the blanket. “Mmgh… babe… sleep…”
But Lisa was already sitting upright, brightness at maximum, staring at the video of a toddler wobbling around in an oversized T-Rex skeleton outfit while the audio screamed:
“DINOYOURRRR!”
Lisa clutched her chest.
“Oh my God. Ruby needs this.”
Jennie, half asleep, muttered, “Ruby does not need dinosaur bones at three in the morning…”
“She absolutely does.”
And that was the end of it.
Because once Lisa decided something involving Ruby’s cuteness?
There was no stopping her.
–
Three days later.
Jennie was peacefully working at her office, typing away during a meeting while sipping iced coffee.
Everything was calm.
Professional.
Normal.
Until her assistant knocked on the door trying-and failing-not to laugh.
“Ms. Kim… your wife and daughter are here.”
Jennie smiled immediately. “Aww, send them in-“
The door burst open dramatically.
“DINOYOURRRR!”
Jennie nearly dropped her coffee.
A tiny white dinosaur skeleton waddled into the office with little stompy footsteps.
Tiny claws.
Big skull head.
Tiny tail swishing behind her.
Ruby’s muffled voice echoed from inside the costume.
“RAWRRR!”
Jennie stared in complete silence.
Then another loud voice followed.
“BEHOLD!” Lisa announced proudly while recording everything on her phone. “The mighty Baby Mandu-saurus Rex!”
Ruby lifted her tiny arms again.
“DINOYOURRRR!”
Jennie finally lost it.
She laughed so hard she folded over her desk.
“Oh my God- WHAT IS THAT?!”
Lisa gasped dramatically. “Excuse you. That is fashion.”
Ruby stomped closer to Jennie, the oversized skull wobbling dangerously side to side.
Then-
THUD.
The little dinosaur walked directly into Jennie’s chair.
Lisa wheezed.
Jennie covered her mouth trying not to laugh harder.
Ruby popped the skull up slightly, revealing her pouty face.
“Mommy… can’t see…”
Jennie instantly melted.
“Aigoo, my poor dinosaur baby,” she cooed, standing up to help adjust the costume.
The moment Jennie fixed it, Ruby proudly roared again.
“RAWRRR!”
Lisa practically squealed.
“BABY! LOOK AT HER! SHE’S SO CUTE I’M GONNA CRY!”
Jennie shook her head fondly. “You bought this because of TikTok again, didn’t you?”
Lisa grinned unapologetically.
“The sound got me emotionally.”
“Emotionally?”
“Yes.”
Jennie snorted.
Ruby suddenly climbed onto Jennie’s lap despite the giant costume making it extremely difficult.
The skeleton tail smacked papers off the desk.
Lisa cackled immediately.
“Destruction! Just like a real dinosaur!”
Jennie sighed while hugging their tiny dinosaur anyway.
Ruby rested her skull-covered head against Jennie’s chest happily.
“Mommy… I’m scary?”
Jennie kissed the top of the giant bone head.
“The scariest baby ever.”
Ruby gasped proudly.
Lisa zoomed in dramatically with her phone.
“Oh no,” Jennie groaned. “You’re posting this, aren’t you?”
Lisa already had TikTok open.
“Too late.”
“Lisa.”
“The caption is gonna be: ‘Visited Mommy’s work as extinct species.'”
Jennie laughed helplessly.
Then Ruby suddenly lifted both arms again and shouted at the top of her lungs in the quiet office:
“DINOYOURRRRR!”
Employees outside burst into laughter.
Jennie buried her face into Ruby’s costume in defeat while Lisa nearly collapsed against the wall from laughing too hard.
And by the end of the day?
Jennie’s elegant CEO office had somehow become a dinosaur playground.
Because Lisa kept teaching Ruby how to “hunt.”
Which mostly involved the tiny T-Rex skeleton chasing Jennie around yelling:
“RAWR MOMMY RAWRRR!”
