Gracie Kennedy felt trapped. Don ‘Griff’ Griffin, her boss kept scheduling her for less and less hours, even though she was a hard worker.
“Hey, hey, maybe if you was oh I don’t know, a little friendlier to me? I might be a little friendlier to you,” Griff would smirk when she complained about the lack of hours.
Gracie and another girl, her best friend, former best friend from high school were renting the left side of a two bedroom duplex. Gracie’s step-dad had warned her; living together had a way of either solidifying a good friendship, or tearing that friendship apart. She was loathe to admit that her step-dad was right though. She and Shannon were barely speaking to one another now.
“Hey uh, Gracie? This uh, this is Paige,” Griff said, interrupting Gracie’s musings. “She’s going be working with you today.”
“Hi,” Gracie pasted a smile on her face, shoving a hank of her knee length blonde hair out of her eyes.
“Hey,” the beautiful blonde girl smiled, extending her hand. “Oh my God, I, I can’t believe you’re working the drive-through in short sleeves; are you crazy?”
“Believe me, lunch time? You won’t even notice,” Gracie promised. “You’ll be sweating your butt off.”
“Uh huh,” Paige said, indicating her thermal undershirt, the knitted sleeves protruded from the short sleeve polyester uniform blouse.
“Headset,” Griff said, interrupting their chatter. “Mike’s turned off; just listen to what she says.”
“Yes sir,” Paige agreed, slipping the headset on over the uniform cap and adjusting the cups over her ears.
They both heard the bell chime in their ears; someone had driven over the sensor by the external menu.
Paige listened as Gracie greeted the guest. She listened as the woman called out her order, yelling mush louder than was necessary. She watched as Gracie fingers flew over the cash register’s keys as Gracie repeated the woman’s order back to the guest.
Gracie told the woman the total of the order then turned to prepare the woman’s diet orange soda.
“Twenty seven,” Griff said, sliding the bag to Gracie.
Gracie dropped the signature sauce packets into the bag, slid the window open and handed the woman her diet soda first. She collected the cash for the food order, then and only then did she hand the woman the bag with her food order. She politely thanked the woman when the guest said she could keep the one dollar and nine cents change.
“Wow; that’s this month’s rent taken care of,” Gracie quipped and Paige laughed.
“Okay, now, why did you hand that woman her drink first, then take the money?” Paige asked.
“To get the cup out of my hands and into hers. She drives off without paying? No big deal; it’s just a soda,” Gracie explained. “Hand them the food before you get the money and they drive off? That comes out of your pay.”
“Comes out… Okay, now, when she wanted two of the General Tso chicken,” Paige asked, pointing to the cash register.
“Uh huh,” Gracie agreed, leaning over the broad face of the cash register.
“You pressed this key,” Paige said, left hand resting on Gracie’s heart shaped backside. “Then come all the way over here to hit the ‘two’ button.”
“Right,” Gracie agreed, mouth dry as this girl’s hand rested firmly on her buttock.
“But, why you didn’t just punch General Tso key two times? Would be a whole lot faster,” Paige asked, face now mere inches from Gracie’s face.
“It protects against accidental key punching,” Gracie explained.
“Oh!” Paige agreed, actually patting Gracie’s rump.
During their fifteen minute coffee break, Paige looked over the schedule for the week ahead. She looked, then looked again. Her ice blue eyes narrowed, her plump lips parted and her light pink tongue licked her bottom lip as she concentrated on the printout posted on the wall. Then she turned to Gracie.
“Why, why you only got eighteen hours?” she asked. “You in school or something? Ho! Oh, you, you got another job?”
“No. Griff’s just being a total tool,” Gracie said.
In hushed tones, Gracie explained Griff’s demands that she ‘be friendly to him’ for better hours.
“Nine fifty an hour, times eighteen is…” Paige said aloud as she looked at the schedule once again.
“Nine fifty? You, you’re getting nine fifty? An hour?” Gracie squealed.
“Well, yeah; how much you getting?” Paige asked.
“Uh? Eight twenty five,” Gracie snapped, beautiful face splotchy with anger. “Says it’s because I’m part-time. I keep trying get on full time but…”
“That, that’s not right,” Paige said. “You said you been here Six months?”
“In April it’ll be one year,” Gracie agreed. “Minute I turned eighteen I got a job here.”
“Hey, hey, break, break’s over, huh?” Griff snapped, poking his head into the small, dank room. “Come on; Polly’s slowing down the whole line.”
They finished out the shift, hustling to keep up with the steady traffic. Their replacement came in and Gracie gratefully took off the headset. Paige also took off her headset and followed Gracie into the break room once more. Gracie opened her employee locker and retrieved her purse. Paige opened her own locker, unzipping her uniform blouse and hanging the garment in the small metal cubicle.
“Oh!” Gracie squeaked when she saw Paige’s upper body, dressed in skin tight undershirt.
“Hmm?” Paige asked, grabbing her winter coat and pulling it on.
“I, your um…” Gracie said, unable to tear her eyes from Paige’s chest.
“Nice, huh?” Paige smiled, thrusting her 32D chest forward.
Her braless condition was evident in the snug garment. Also evident was the fact that both nipples had been pierced, threaded through with heavy hoops. Gracie stared for a long moment at the beautiful blonde’s torso, unable to breathe.
“Nice, huh?” Paige repeated, slowly buttoning her long coat.
“I, did, do they hurt?” Gracie whispered.
“Yeah. I mean, damn! Punched a hole, right through them. But hey, you can say ‘maybe’ only so many times, right?” Paige said, thrusting her chest out again before buttoning the last two buttons of her coat. “Sooner or later, you have to say ‘yes’ or no’ right?”
“I, I guess so,” Gracie agreed, still staring at Paige’s torso even though the young woman’s chest was fully covered by the coat.
“You can say ‘maybe’ only so many times,” Paige whispered, softly touching Gracie’s face with her slim fingers.
She leaned close to the frozen girl. Her ice blue eyes stared into Gracie’s warm golden brown, confused eyes for a moment. She leaned even closer, her lips millimeters from Gracie’s mouth.
“Before you finally have to say ‘yes’ or ‘no,'” Paige whispered, softly kissing Gracie’s lips.
“I uh, uh,” Gracie stammered.
“Yes?” Paige asked, kissing Gracie a second time. “Or no?”
“I, I uh,” Gracie stammered.
Paige’s tongue entered Gracie’s stammering mouth. Paige’s hand continued to softly trace Gracie’s jaw line, her other hand at the small of Gracie’s back.
“That a ‘yes?'” Paige softly asked, pulling her mouth from Gracie’s moaning mouth.
“Y-yes!” Gracie moaned.
“Come on; you got your car here?” Paige asked, taking Gracie’s small hand into her hand and pulling Gracie to the rear door of Mama Yung’s Chinese Restaurant.
“I, no, I take the bus,” Gracie said.
“I got my car back here,” Paige said, then gasped as they stepped out into the brutal winter wind.
Paige’s car was a brand new SUV; Gracie did not know one car from another but could tell it was an expensive car. The leather seat was buttery soft as she sank into it. The heater did not make a rattling noise when Paige turned it on. It did not smell of spilled beer and greasy fast food wrappers.
“Say command,” a disembodied voice called out.
“Telephone,” Paige said.
“Telephone. Telephone who?” the same voice said.
“Ms. Lainne,” Paige said, putting the luxury automobile into gear.
“Calling Jensen Lainne,” the voice agreed.
“Yes?” a soft voice answered.
“Ms. Lainne? I would not recommend Mama Yung,” Paige said. “Not at the current managerial structure. The product is fair. Sales are fair; marketing could improve projected numbers. But current management? I’ve identified three Labor Board concerns; I’ll be forwarding my complete report in the morning.”
“Thank you,” Jensen Lainne’s voice said. “I look forward to your report. I am confident it will be thorough as always.”
“I, what, what was that all about?” Gracie asked when they both heard the call disconnect.
“Ronald Griffin, current owner of Mama Yung’s is looking to expand; hoping to franchise,” Paige said, right hand softly tracing Gracie’s left hand as she drove along the well-lighted streets of Benhurst, Colorado.
“I, how, how you know that?” Gracie asked as Paige pulled into the parking lot of the Home Comfort Inn on Grant Avenue.
“I work for Lainne Research and Developments,” Paige confided, guiding Gracie to Room 112. “When Ronald Griffin approached Ms. Lainne, she sent me up to look everything over.”
“Oh,” Gracie said, her heart hammering hard in her chest as the door shut behind them.
Paige pulled Gracie in for a soft, unhurried kiss. Despite her heart pounding, Gracie returned the kiss. She gasped out once when Paige unzipped her cheap faux leather bomber jacket.
“You okay? This okay?” Paige asked, gently running her hand up and down Gracie’s flat belly.
“I, yeah, yes, yes,” Gracie stammered out, wondering if she was having a heart attack; her heart pounded hard in her chest and it was difficult to breathe.
Paige shrugged out of her heavy coat and flung it onto one of the two double beds in the room. Once again, Gracie’s eyes were drawn to the skin tight thermal undershirt, drawn to the hard nipples and large hoops outlined through the snug garment. Paige again asked if it was okay before pulling Gracie’s cheap jacket from Gracie’s body.
“This okay? You okay?” Paige whispered, dropping Gracie’s jacket onto the bed.
She kissed Gracie before Gracie could confirm or deny. Gracie felt Paige’s arms pull her tight into the kiss. Her own arms went around Paige’s torso, a maneuver that mashed their breasts together. Gracie moaned as Paige sucked on her tongue.
“Mm hmm,” Paige agreed.
With another soft kiss, Paige reached back and unbuttoned the back of Gracie’s blouse. She looked deeply into Gracie’s eyes as she slowly worked the zipper down, exposing Gracie’s pale back to just below her broad bra straps.
The blouse was lifted and dropped on top of the clothing on the bed. Paige pulled her own top up and off but before Gracie could admire Paige’s heavy breasts, large areolae and thick gold hoops, Paige’s pale tone belly, Paige was again kissing Gracie. Gracie could feel the other blonde’s bare breasts rubbing insistently against her own bra covered breasts as they kissed.
Gracie could feel Paige’s hands softly, slowly rubbing up and down, up and down along Gracie’s back. Gracie could feel Paige’s smooth flesh as she rubbed her hands up and down along Paige’s spine.
“Oomph!” Gracie grunted as Paige unhooked her bra.
“Mm,” Gracie moaned as bare breasts now rubbed against bare breasts.
The rings were warm. Gracie did not know why this surprised her; she had expected them to be cold. Metal usually is cold. But since the rings had been against Paige’s very warm flesh, it made sense that they would be warm as they rubbed against Gracie’s very hard nipples and tightly crinkled areolae.
