Chapter 32
Emma slowly opened her eyes, basking in the warm rays of sunlight that filtered through the curtains. Wrapped around her was Abigail. Emma smiled as she remembered the events of last night. They had both come to this five-star hotel for a romantic getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of their busy lives.
Emma turned to face Abigail, admiring the way the early morning light illuminated her features. She couldn’t believe how lucky she was to have found someone like Abigail. Their love had blossomed unexpectedly, but it was the most beautiful thing that had ever happened to Emma.
As she lay there, Emma couldn’t help but think about how far they had come in their relationship. There were obstacles, of course, but they had always managed to work through them together. And now, as she lay in Abigail’s embrace, she felt nothing but pure happiness.
Lost in her thoughts, Emma didn’t notice when Abigail woke up. A soft kiss on her forehead brought her back to reality. Abigail’s blue eyes sparkled with love and tenderness.
‘Good morning, love,’ she whispered, planting a kiss on Emma’s lips.
Emma’s heart swelled with joy as she replied, ‘Good morning, my dear. Did you sleep well?’
Abigail nodded, her hand caressing Emma’s cheek. ‘I always sleep better with you by my side.’
‘I love you,’ Emma replied, her heart bursting with joy.
‘I love you too,’ Abigail whispered.
They decided to start their day off with some room service. Abigail ordered their favorite breakfast, while Emma snuggled up to her, enjoying the feeling of being loved and wanted. As they waited for their breakfast to arrive, Emma couldn’t help but think how different her life was now. She had always been a workaholic, never really taking the time to slow down and enjoy the little moments in life. But Abigail had changed that. She had shown her that life was about more than just work and success.
Abigail ran her fingers through Emma’s hair, admiring her beauty. ‘I can’t believe we’re here, just the two of us,’ she whispered, placing a kiss on Emma’s forehead.
Emma smiled and snuggled closer to Abigail. ‘Me too. It feels like a dream come true. I never thought we would be able to spend quality time together with no worries.’
Abigail whispered, ‘I wish we didn’t have to hide our love.’
Emma replied softly, ‘But just for these moments, we are free to love each other without any fear or judgment.’
Once their food arrived, they spent the next hour indulging in a decadent breakfast in bed, feeding each other and making promises to be there for each other no matter what. It was one of those rare moments that they could truly relax and be themselves, without any pretense or worries.
Unfortunately, their peaceful day together came to an end, and they had to start packing their bags and get dressed. They both silently wished they could stay in that five-star hotel room forever, wrapped in each other’s arms.
As they drove back home, Emma couldn’t stop thinking about the wonderful time they had spent together.
Abigail: Okay, so let’s talk about where we see ourselves in the next few years. Where do you see our relationship going?
Emma: Well, I definitely see us continuing to grow as a couple and building a stronger connection. I see us supporting each other’s goals and dreams and experiencing new things together.
Abigail: Yes, I agree. I also see us traveling and exploring new places together. Maybe even taking a big trip somewhere we’ve always wanted to go.
Emma: That sounds amazing! And I hope we also continue to communicate openly and honestly with each other, working through any challenges that come our way.
Abigail: Absolutely. And I know it might be a bit early to say, but I could see us potentially moving in together in a few years.
Emma: That’s something I would definitely be open to. It would be exciting to create a home together and start our own little family.
Abigail: Yes, and who knows, maybe in a few more years we’ll be ready to take the next step and start a family of our own.
Emma: That’s definitely something I can see in our future. But for now, I’m just happy to be with you and see where our love takes us.
Abigail: Me too. I feel lucky to have found such a wonderful partner in you, and I know our future holds great things for us.
Emma: Agreed. I can’t wait to see where our journey together leads us.
Abigail parked her car in front of Emma’s house and turned to look at her. The moonlight was shining on her face, making her features glow. ‘I had an amazing time with you,’ Abigail said, reaching for Emma’s hand. ‘Me too,’ Emma replied, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. ‘I don’t want to leave you,’ she added, her voice filled with longing.
As Emma got out of the car, Abigail helped Emma with her bag and walked Emma to the door.
‘I love you’ Emma said, pulling Abigail into her.
‘I love you too, I’ll see you tomorrow’ Abigail said as she hugged Emma.
Abigail walked back to her car and made her way home. She couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sadness at the thought of parting ways for the night. As she entered her house, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of emptiness. She missed Emma already and wanted to be with her. She decided to call Emma to let her know she made it home and to tell her goodnight.
Abigail: Hey babe
Emma: hey did you make it home?
Abigail: yes, I just walked in the door, I miss you already.
Emma: I miss you too babe.
Abigail: I just wanted to call you to tell you goodnight and I love you.
Emma: I love you too babe and goodnight I’ll see you in the morning.
Emma woke up to the sound of her alarm, reminding her that it was time to start another day. The sun was just beginning to rise as she brushed her hair and put on her favorite dress. Emma always took great care in her appearance, wanting to set a good example for her students.
As Emma arrived at school, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride as she watched Abigail walk through the hallways. She made her way to her classroom and began to set up for the day’s lesson. Emma’s heart skipped a beat when she saw Abigail peek through the classroom door. She quickly gave her a smile and a wink before getting back to her work.
Abigail walked into the music room, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of peace. The room was like a sanctuary to her, especially with Emma by her side. Abigail sat down at the piano and looked straight into Emma’s eyes with determination. She took a deep breath and started playing a beautiful melody, her slender fingers gliding over the keys effortlessly. As the music filled the room, Emma couldn’t help but be mesmerized by Abigail’s talent and raw emotion.
Every moment we spend together.
Feels like I’ve been given a treasure.
Your love is like a warm embrace.
A place where I can find my solace.
You’re my love song, my one and only.
The melody that heals my heart so lonely.
With every beat, my love for you grows stronger.
You’re the rhythm that I can’t resist any longer.
Your touch ignites a fire inside.
A flame that I’ll never let die.
You’re my sunshine on a cloudy day.
With you, I know I’ll find my way.
You’re my love song, my one and only.
The melody that heals my heart so lonely
With every beat, my love for you grows stronger.
You’re the rhythm that I can’t resist any longer.
I’ll sing of our love for all the world to hear.
This masterpiece that we hold so dear.
With every note, our love will unfold.
A love so pure, a story yet untold
You’re my love song, my one and only.
The melody that heals my heart so lonely
With every beat, my love for you grows stronger.
You’re the rhythm that I can’t resist any longer.
You’re my love song, my love song.
Forever and always, my heart will belong.
You’re my love song, my one and only.
My perfect love song, my everything, my one and only.
The song ended, and Abigail turned to look at Emma with tears in her eyes. ‘I wrote this for you,’ she said softly.
Emma stood up and pulled Abigail into a tight embrace, whispering, ‘I love you’ in her ear.
Before she could say anything, the bell rang, signaling the start of the school day. Abigail quickly packed up her guitar and left the music room, her heart still racing from her performance. She couldn’t stop thinking about Emma’s reaction and couldn’t wait to see her in class.
Abigail sat in her math class, her mind wandering as the teacher droned on about algebraic equations. She couldn’t help but sneak glances at her phone, counting down the seconds until her next class – music. She was ready to see Emma.
As the bell rang, Abigail practically leaped out of her seat and made her way to the music room. Emma was already there, setting up her piano for today’s lesson. Abigail’s heart fluttered as she took in the sight of her – her curves, her warm brown eyes, and her infectious smile.
‘Hey, Em,’ Abigail said, taking a seat in the front row.
‘Hey, Abi. Ready for today’s lesson?’ Emma asked with a smile.
Abigail nodded eagerly, her heart racing at the thought of spending the next hour getting to admire Emma.
As the lesson went on, Abigail couldn’t help but get lost in the music and in Emma’s soothing voice. She was always captivated by how effortlessly Emma could play the piano and how beautiful her voice was. It was as if they were the only two people in the room, their connection through music surpassing any words.
As the class ended, Emma handed Abigail a songbook and smiled. ‘Practice this song and we’ll work on it next time.’
Abigail gathered her things, but just as she was about to leave, Emma called out, ‘Abigail, can I talk to you for a moment?’
‘Maybe you can help me out with something,’ Emma continued. ‘I’m looking for a student to perform a duet with at the upcoming school concert. Would you be interested?’
Abigail’s heart skipped a beat. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Not only was she being given the chance to perform with Emma, but also it was the perfect opportunity to spend more time with her in public and it not seem suspicious.
‘Of course, I would love to!’ Abigail exclaimed.
Emma’s face lit up with a smile and she clapped her hands together. ‘Great! We’ll start rehearsing tomorrow then. I can’t wait to see what magic we can create together.’
‘Sounds great, babe I have to head to the store to pick up a few things. Did you need anything?’ Abigail asked.
‘No, I’m okay love’ Emma responded.
‘Okay I’ll call you later’ Abigail said as she kissed Emma on the cheek and made her way out the door.
