Chapter 9

After returning to her dorm, Grace continues her studies, especially in Potions. Although she wants to take advantage of some knowledge about this world, thinking of what happened earlier with Snape, she feels that it is not good to be straight up and talk about her purpose.

‘ Fred and George would be of great help if I want to start earning money. The problem is what kind of product would be popular among students.’

Grace continues working on her research for a new product while also getting closer to the Weasley twins. Although they’re both playful, they’re not bad, even if they don’t really study hard with their rich imagination and productivity they won’t have a problem having their own shop sooner if they wanted.

Grace was reading in the common room when Fred and George came over. “Grace, the sticker you used to invite us looks cool.”

” If you like it, I will give you some. It is called Disappearing Ink Stickers, the ink will disappear after three minutes.” Grace pulled out two pads of Disappearing Ink Stickers.

Fred and George took the pads, which were just palm-sized, observed them, then looked at each other. ” How about giving us more? We will sell them together with our joke products, just give us a small portion of the money from them. What do you think?” Fred and George looked at Grace expectantly.

” Alright, I will give you 100 pads first. If you need more, just say so.” Grace nodded, she gave them an enchanted pouch. ” By the way, I actually wanted to ask you about this.”

Grace gave Fred and George a marble each,” Try to squeeze it.”

Fred and George followed her instructions, the marbles popped and smoke rushed to their faces. When Fred and George clearly saw each other after the smoke cleared, they were both shocked. Their hair colors suddenly changed, one black and the other blonde.

Fred saw George with blonde hair and pointed ears, while George saw Fred with black hair and blue eyes. Their eyes widened and they screamed. They both look handsome with their new looks.

“” Awesome!!”” They both looked at Grace with shining eyes. “” Do you have more?””

Grace looked at the Weasley twins and felt that all her time studying and experimenting was worth it, seeing the final outcome. She smiled widely, she nodded.

” There are 500 of them in this pouch.”

” How long will the effect last?”

” One minute.”

” We will sell it too, just give us some.”

” How about this. I will give you 20% of the total revenue for the Glimmer-Grime Glamour Marbles, and the same 20% split applies to the Disappearing Ink Stickers too,” said Grace after some thought.

” You mean, we will get a 20% share from it?” George asked.

” Yes,” Grace nodded.” Also there might be more in the future,”

” Then just leave it to us!” Fred said excitedly. ” You better make more,” George added.

Fred and George quickly ran outside the common room. Grace shook her head and went to her dorm.

” Grace? Are you going to the Great Hall?” Hermione asked after seeing Grace come in.

Grace smiled and shook her head. ” No, I will have to go out for a while.”

Hermione felt disappointed, she forced a smile. ” I see.. alright,” lowering her head while sitting on her bed, distracting herself

Grace stopped what she was doing. She felt bad seeing Hermione look dejected. She remembered that Hermione seems to have no close friends aside from Harry and Ron, but lately Hermione has been taking the initiative to talk to her and get close to her. It is just that she was too busy to notice it, but realizing it now, she felt bad.

Grace slowly walked in front of Hermione, then she put her hand on Hermione’s head. ” I am not going to the Great Hall. I am going somewhere more interesting. Do you want to go with me?” she asked gently.

Hermione widened her eyes, feeling that it was unbelievable that Grace took the initiative to get close to her. She did not know why, but when she looked up and saw how gentle Grace was, she could not help but hug Grace’s waist.

” I will go with you, if you do not mind,” Hermione muffled.

Grace patted Hermione’s head and felt helpless. ‘ Bringing her there should be fine. They will find that place in a few years anyways.’

” Just promise me you will not tell anyone where we are going, okay? Even to your close friends Harry and Ron,” Grace said softly. It was not like she wanted to monopolize the place, but if more people went there often, it would definitely attract some unnecessary attention.

” Yes, I promise!”

” Alright, shall we go?”

” Okay!” Hermione let go. She only brought her wand and enchanted bag, then followed Grace.

Hermione and Grace quickly went to the seventh floor and found the Room of Requirement. When they got inside, Hermione was amazed.

Grace watched as Hermione could not close her mouth from amazement.

” Grace, this place is?”

” Room of Requirement, one of Hogwarts’ mysteries.” Grace led Hermione inside the space.

” So, you have been staying here?” Hermione looked at the potions, books and plants.

” Yes. Reading alone is not enough for me to understand. Here, we can use charm spells, even if we make a cauldron explode, we will not have to worry about it. Whatever you need, as long as you ask for it, this place will provide it to you.”

” Wow, so that is why I cannot find you.”

” Yes. If you look for me next time, just come here. I will get busy first. You can study at another table or rest on the bed while waiting for me.”

” There is only one bed.”

” Why do not you try to ask for another one?”

Hermione shook her head. ” No need, it is wide enough for two people. I am going to practice charms.”

“There are spell books on the bookshelf. Just read them if you are interested.”

“Alright, do not worry about me here.”

Grace nodded, then went to another room. Inside the room, there were clearly four divisions with glass walls as partitions.

The first glass room was where experiments were being taken, then from the second to fourth glass rooms was where production happened. As long as the materials were complete, the items could be made even without lifting her wand.

She went to the fourth glass room and saw the marbles lined on a shelf, thanks to the robots’ assistance. ‘Room of Requirement is so versatile. If we were in the muggle world and allowed to use magic, I would not even need to spend a penny for a factory, production equipment and manpower.’

” Maybe in the future.. I can have something like this too?” Grace imagine herself having it but when she thought about the process and time it would take for her to learn she immediately throw the idea behind.

Grace enchanted five pouches with the Undetectable Extension Charm, which could store 500 pieces each. She planned to buy more pouches when she had a chance to go to Hogsmeade.

She refilled the raw materials needed so production could continue, then she went out to find Hermione.

“Are you bored?” Grace asked upon seeing Hermione lying on the bed.

Hermione was startled. “Are you done already?”

“Yes.”

“Then.. why not lie down for a while?” Hermione moved to the side, giving Grace some space.

“Alright.” Grace lay down and shared a blanket with Hermione.

Hermione blushed a little seeing Grace just beside her. She did not know when it started, but she could feel that she was happy when Grace talked to her or gave her attention, especially when she was just lying down beside her in one bed.

Grace sniffed as she smelled something like a flower scent. She turned to look at Hermione and saw that she was sleeping. She leaned closer and smelled the floral scent, then distanced herself after confirming that it came from Hermione. She then fell asleep.

Hermione slowly opened her eyes when she felt that Grace’s breathing had stabilized. Her heart almost burst out when Grace had come closer to her, she wants to slap herself from thinking too much but.. Grace sniff her neck ‘ I hope I didn’t smell bad ‘

‘ It is not like I am in love with her.. but Grace’s maturity and charm are really hard to resist. I really thought she was hard to approach,’ Hermione thought to herself.

Hermione tried to sleep, but thinking about how Grace had been training and studying here, she felt that she had to work a little harder too. She had read countless books, but she had not actually tried using the spells she learned. She got up and went to the training ground, picked up her wand, and tried her spells.
