Chapter 8
I won’t, I promise
Leonora PoV:
After we spent some more time in the cafe, we decided to get up and leave. “Can I have my phone back?” “No.” I sighed, getting into the back of the car.
“You know I could just say you robbed me.” “And who would believe that?” Bryce started the car, looking back at me. “Somewhere special you wanna go?” “Home, with my phone.” He shook his head and started to drive.
“Nope, you will wait.” “But, what if she already answered me? And now I’m letting her wait…” Corinne chuckled. “If she really wants you, she will wait.” I groaned, crossing my arms infront of my chest.
“I hate you two.” “I know. Now let us be some even better friends and drag you to a book store.” I looked back up at them. “Now see who is interested.” “Fuck you.” He chuckled.
“Wanna go to the book store?” “…Yeah.” I mumbled. Why did they have to know me that good? I sighed and gave up. There was no chance I would get my phone back now.
Clarissa PoV:
I don’t know much later it was when I woke up again. The nap made me even more tired then I was before. I sighed and set up, stretching myself.
Pulling the blanket back close, I grabbed my phone and looked at all the messages I got. One of them was from a random number.
I opened it, a smiling jumping on my face.
Hey, Nora here. I just wanted
to say thank you for today, it was
really a nice evening with you and
I would love to repeat it 🙂
Just tell me when it fits for you.
Looking forward to it.

I saved her number, before I went back to the chat. She had wrote me some hours ago. What was she thinking, that I was ignoring her?
I sighed and tried to thinkof a normal respone. Which wasn’t really easy, if you think about my boss like personallity. “She won’t mind a bit of teasing, will she?” I chuckled.
Hello my sweet Nora.
I’m sorry I couldn’t answer you
sooner…
I’m happy you enjoyed today,
because I did too. And I can’t
wait to see you again. Maybe this
time I can properly show you
around my apartment 😉
Let me just fresh up a bit and
then we can talk about when we
will meet again.

I pressed the send button and placed my phone aside. Even writing with her was making me nervous. Trying to calm down again, i decided to head into the shower.
With some fresh clothes, I walked over to my bathroom, smirking as I passed th chains on my wall. How embarrassed she had looked when I caught her.
Leonora PoV:
I don’t know what they hated more. Me asking for my phone every two minutes, or that I wouldn’t want to leave the book store.
“They should open up a section where you can leave your friends and come back hours later…” Bryce mumbled, as I handed him another book.
“Where do you have that money from?” “Who said I have money?” I stopped and looked at them. “Just joking, got a little extra money after some kid puked into the hallway and I cleaned it up.”
Corinne looked disgusted, as she checked her phone. “Disgusting. Atleast you got some extra.” I nodded and took the books from Bryce, walking over to the cashier.
“Already through the ones you just bought?” “You know that they won’t last long.” The two looked at me, as I started joking around with the cashier. A nice woman called Jasmin, I think…
“What?” “Nothing, just weird to see you talking to a stranger.” I chuckled, before I payed for the books. “I come here often, so we got to know each other.” Jasmin smiled at us, before she handed me a paper bag with my books.
“Have a great evening and a lot of fun reading those books. And tell me how they were!” I smiled at her. “I will. See you in like two days.” We both started laughing, before we walked out of the store.
“Good, now just one thing. My phone, pleaseeeeee…” Bryce looked at Corinne, which nodded slowly. “Well, here you go.” “Thank me.” They laughed, as we walked over to his car.
“Oh… my… god.” “What, did she answer?” I nodded, showing them the phone. “Uhhh!” “Seems like she is interested in you Leo.” I blushed, looking away.
“Maybe this time I can show you around my apartment properly and than a wink! Leo! Oh my god!” Corinne snapped my phone from my hand, re-reading the message over and over again.
“If I would just have the luck with woman like you do…” Bryce said, leaning against his car. I placed the paper back on the back seat, before I took place next to him.
Corinne was walking up and down by now, staring at my phone. “You think I will ever get it back?” “Your phone?” He looked at me and I nodded. “Give it like twenty more minutes, and then you should be good.”
I rolled my eyes and nudged him softly. “Idiot…”
“You don’t know how much this changes!” She gave me back my phone and I felt how I started to smile at the little text. “Text her back! Now!” I nodded and started typing.
Don’t worry, I was out aswell.
We’re heading home now, so I
should be free in like 20 minutes.

I looked up at them, a smile capturing my lips. “God you look so happy it’s adorable. And how your cheeks turn red aswell!” Embarrassed, I looked away, feeling my phone vibrate.

-typing…
“Oh lord, she’s typing.” I stared down at my phone, watching the three dots move as she was typing.
“Really? Let me see?” They both came closer. And so we stood here, three idiots on a parking lot infront of a book store staring at one phone screen. It was getting darker with every minuted passing by and soon the sun would be gone completely.
Sounds good. But don’t make me
wait to long, yeah? I don’t like
that…
Hear from you later 😉

Corinne started shaking my arm, jumping up and down. “It’s almost as if you would get those messages.” Bryce said, chuckling shortly. “But to get back to this, Leo, if you mess this up I will kill you.”
I looked at him. “Nice… I won’t ever spent time with you alone again.” They started laughing, before Corinne got my attention again.
“Answer her something short, and then we’re gonna head home.” “But, I can’t just-” She cut me off. “You already did read the message, she can see that, so answer her something short and get off!”
My eyes widened, as I started to panic. Excatly now, my mind went black and I pushed my phone into her chest. “You do, I can’t.” “Wha- Leonora, get your mind together!”
She pushed the phone back, making me look at it. “Now answer her.” I breathed in, trying to figure something out.
I won’t, I promise.

I looked up at the two, before closing my eyes. “And seen, now get off.” Without thinking, I spammed the home button, before closing the app. The two laughed at my childish behavior.
“Be quiet and drive me… Please.” “I wouldn’t want to do anything else.” Bryce opened the door for me and I got in, rolling my eyes at their chuckle.
