Chapter Twenty-Five
~~~~~ Kylie – The one for me ~~~~~
“I love you, Alexandria.” The words were not in any way shape or form forced out of her mouth. They were no way near close to what she actually felt towards the girl in front of her either, but they were the closest. In a moment of courage, Kylie began to tell her girl exactly what it is about her that drives her absolutely mad. Her lips were begging for more than just a touch. The girl’s skin felt so soft under her lips.
There was no right or wrong at the moment. She did not care what was going to happen tomorrow or even in a few hours. Kylie only cared about the girl standing right in front of her.
Kylie still felt dumbfounded though. She could not wrap her head around it; Alexandria Santiago loves her. The girl who has occupied her mind since day one, actually confessed her love not long ago. Nothing compared to the feelings she had for the girl. Knowing that Alex loves her, Kylie felt simply invincible and capable of anything. She felt stronger than ever and yet her knees got week as she stared at the girl’s perfect lips. Her heart was racing and her hands were sweaty for no apparent reason.
It almost drove her over the edge when she was stopped by Rachael’s voice. Just a couple more millimeters till she could taste Alexandria’s lips again. She was so close yet so far away at the same time from reaching her happiness.
During dinner all she could do was smile and steal glances at the girl who for some bazaar reason returns her love. Kylie couldn’t help but question her girl though. There were so many things she wanted to know, needed to know, about the girl. There were so many things she wanted to do with her, so many things she want to do to her.
And yet the simple things about this girl made her face blush and her body act like it has never acted before. Why did Alexandria have the power to make her blush, when no other person could do such thing?
These emotions were new to her and by having mo experience with them, Kylie did not know what to do or how to react to them. All she knew was to let herself go and be guided by these emotions. She wanted to know what it felt to be with someone, and not just anyone, but Alexandria Santiago. She wanted to know how it felt to truly be happy with the one you love.
The urge to touch the girl came to her in a split second. No matter how hard Kylie fought against it, she lost the battle before it even had the chance to begin. Acting upon this urge, Kylie began to feel the girl’s thigh under her fingertips. The feeling was incredible, her fingers were asking, begging for more.
She lost track of what was going on around her. Everything that was happening was beyond her control. She found herself enjoying the closeness and the warmth of the girls skin that was slowly becoming more and more familiar.
A few seconds later her hand was taken away with a slap. Kylie laughed more to herself than anything else but then remembered that Mike was still talking so she tried her best to cough in a way that would seem natural. It seemed to work but when looking over at Alexandria; the girl did not seem like a happy camper.
After dinner, Kylie followed Alex up the stairs as it was already time to go to bed. It was the little things about Alexandria that surprised Kylie the most. The way Alex was always so respectful to everyone she came in contact with. Well except Kayla, but Kylie couldn’t blame her for that since she would have done the same if she knew the moves that Alex knew. Of course Kylie did not know Karate or anything in the category. She could defend herself with what she had learn in cheer-leading practices but that was it other than using the handy dandy pepper spray.
Kylie hesitated at the girls door not sure if she should invade the girl’s space. Thinking better of it, Kylie took the biggest breath she could master and confronted the girl wanting the answers to the questions she had been avoiding for all this time. Kylie found that it was time she put her foot down. Enough was enough, she needs answers to her questions. It had bugged her for the longest time. She just needed answers.
“Never. Say. That. Again. You hear me?.” The words that came out the girls mouth were and would never in a million years be true. Kylie would never not want to see her beautiful girl.
It was Alexandria’s face she saw every morning when she woke up and the last face she saw as she fell asleep, only to dream about the girl all over again in her sleeping state. She had finally gotten her answers but when rethinking what Alexandria had told her just a few seconds ago, her mind just replayed all the times she had wanted to touch and kiss the girl, making Alexandria’s statement 100% false.
Kylie had no idea what took over her body. All she knew was that Alex was below her with Kylie’s own two hands pinning the girl’s wrists above her head. “I’ve wanted to kiss you ever since I held you in my arms. I have never wanted anybody as much as I want you.” She looked at the girl’s lips wondering what it would be like to kiss them again. What it would feel like to have Alexandria’s lips kiss her own with the same passion Kylie felt.
“Aren’t you going to tell me to stop?” She said feeling as if it were to good to be true. Alex couldn’t possibly love her. She couldn’t possibly want to kiss her-
All that was thrown out the window when Alexandria raised her head and wrapped her hands around her neck making their lips touch. A million thoughts went through Kylie’s mind as she melted in the kiss. Her body reacted so weirdly to the sensations she was experiencing. Everything was so new to her but Kylie was loving these new experiences. Every emotion sent her to a different place; a magical place she never knew existed. She pictured herself in a roller coaster heading nowhere in particular in lighting speed enjoying every second of it.
Anthony never awakened such emotions nor any guy for that matter. They never made Kylie feel special. They never made her smile when she would see him or simply say his name.
Anthony didn’t do the things the girl she’s currently kissing do to her. Anthony and Alexandria just simply did not compare and if they were to compare, Alexandria was sure to win every category.
“Can you stay tonight?” Alex asked Kylie out of breath. The thought had not occurred to Kylie. She didn’t know what to think but when seeing the girl below her equally nervous, she only knew that she felt an urge to hold her tonight. The ashamed Alexandria covers her face making Kylie smile inside knowing the girl wants the same things she wants.
It had only been seconds but Kylie missed the girls face and most importantly, she missed the girl’s lips against her own making her the happiest person in the world.
They lost track of time. Kylie never wanted to stop. She found her heaven on earth. She found her happiness right beside the girl of her dreams. This girl was the best thing that has ever happened to her.
But all good things come to an end, and that is exactly what happened when Alex withdrew her lips and reminded Kylie of school. This was certainly not a time to be thinking about school. School never even crossed her mind. All Kylie thought about was the wonderful sensations she felt as she kissed the girls tender lips.
Kylie thought the girl was going to send her to heaven again when Alexandria made then flip positions, but unfortunately Alex only gave her a quick kiss and got off her. Kylie groaned inside hating the way Alex left her all flustered up wanting more than a simple peck on the lips.
“Gosh I’m sorry.” Kylie said mentally slapping herself when she discovered herself staring at the girls figure. Her eyes traveled down the girls back. They traveled down the girls muscular arms and toned legs. She had never stared at anyone like this. No one ever sparked an interest, until now. Her eyes couldn’t look away from the girl’s smooth body.
Kylie then felt extremely lazy. She didn’t want to walk all the way to her room change and come back. So instead, Kylie asked her girl to help her out the dress and made her way over to Alexandria’s closet looking for something she could sleep in. A moment was taken to study the clothes the girl wears. Kylie had always noticed her girl yet she never paid attention to what she was wearing. All she looked at was her beautiful eyes and amazing body, if that even made since since you would also notice what she’s wearing.
The closet was filled with every color of Polo shirts and a huge selection of regular jeans, tailored jeans, ripped jeans, blue jeans, vests, blazers, ties, converse shoes, sneakers, hoodies, jackets, sweats, shorts, and finally basketball shorts. Kylie guided her hand feeling the fabrics and breathing in the girl’s smell.
It took her moments to find a simple pair of gray shorts and an undershirt to sleep in comfortably. She folded her dress and put her shoes on top of the dress. Not knowing what to do with them she just put them on top of the basket where she saw Alex put her dirty laundry.
When seeing Alex look at her the same way Kylie had looked at Alex a few minutes ago, made her feel a little better knowing Alex was not the only one containing such power.
She didn’t care if she seemed stupid doing a happy dance but that is what she was when Alex agreed to meet the most important little boy in her life, she was extremely happy. But when the girl approached her and kissed her Kylie was speechless. Happiness did not even begin to describe how she felt.
In the middle of the night Kylie found her hand resting on the girls waist but did nothing to remove it. She instead felt the girls soft skin under her fingers again familiarizing herself with the girl in a deeper level. Kylie positioned herself to where she could listen to the girls heartbeat. She listened to Alexandria breath deeply and her steady heartbeat until she finally fell asleep. She slept like a baby with Alex fitting exactly in her arms. It was truly one of the best nights she ever had.
It was as if Alex was especially made to fit in Kylie’s arms.
~~~~~
“Miss Balthazar, will you please at least pretend you are listening.” The teacher’s voice brought Kylie’s mind back to the present. She flinched and sat up straight as everyone’s eyes were on her.
“Sorry won’t happen again.” but she knew that was a lie. As long as Alex occupied her mind, math was out of the question.
She looked down at her paper only to find Alexandria’s face drawn on the copy paper. The girl was smiling up at Kylie, her dimples expressed to their fullest exposing her white teeth. Kylie caresses the girl’s face wishing she could feel the real Alexandria’s face not just a drawing that did her no justice.
Kylie’s day was dragging after that. The cheer squad had still not given up on finding Kylie a date to the upcoming party. “Guys I already told you, I’m going alone.” this only made the girls look even more feverishly. There was no way the cheer captain was going to the biggest party of the year without a date. But the thing was that it couldn’t be just anyone. The GUY had to meet a certain criteria meaning he had to be popular and extremely hot with a rich background.
One thing that always got to Kylie is how everyone always assumed she was rich. No one ever asked her If she was or not and yet treated her like royalty.
“Hey Kylie, are you okay?” Haley asks putting a hand on Kylie’s shoulder. Kylie looks at the youngest girl in her squad and smiles. She then returns her gaze back to Anthony and Samantha. Anthony had Samantha pined against a locker and was kissing her in ways that are in no way school appropriate.
Kylie waited to see if she could feel it. But nothing happened, she felt nothing. She didn’t feel jealous. She didn’t care who he was with. She simply just didn’t care. She did not feel like crying. She was not heartbroken; in fact she was happy for them. They maybe a lot of things, but at least they love each other in their own way.
“Don’t worry; we kicked her off the squad.” Haley said wrapping her arm around Kylie’s shoulders as if for consultation.
“You guys did what?!” Kylie half yelled getting Haley’s arm off her and turned to face her squad. “We kicked the bitch out for what she did to you.” Macy responded steeping up with a certain pride in their voice. Macy was always the outspoken one. She was the one who could not hold her tongue and doesn’t think before she speaks. It was both a curse and an advantage that would sometimes get her out of the troubles she got in or put her deeper in the hole.
“And who the hell gave you permission to do that?” Kylie was furious. She had never in the two years that she has been their captain raised her voice. They just stared at one another not knowing what to say in response. “I can handle my personal life, I do not need you guys making decisions for me and I definitely don’t need you guys to decide who stays or who gets kicked out the squad. That is my job, not yours. The reason I dislike Samantha are personal, but she is part of the squad and will remain part of the squad until I say so.” The girls looked at Kylie with fear in their eyes. They somehow knew this was coming but seeing their captain act like a true captain scared them more than anything.
“Since the day you joined this squad I told you to leave anything personal outside. That also includes someone’s personal life.” Kylie thought she had been clear on that. She emphasized that fact every time someone brought something personal to practices making them go home and not participate in any activities till the problem was resolved. Many had decided to never come back due to this but replacements were then found making the team better in certain ways. Samantha on the other hand was next to impossible to replace, the girl had skills for the position and was one of the best cheerleaders Kylie had to the chance to lead.
Kylie looked back at Samantha and knew it was the right thing to do. Sam did not deserve to be kicked out because she fell in love with the wrong guy, besides she always kept her personal life outside the squad and Kylie admired that about her. Samantha did make Kylie’s life harder but she was a great cheerleader. “I don’t care what you guys said to Sam but you will all go up to her and ask her to join the squad again.” She tells them turning around and leaving the girls to decide who was going to ask her back.
“And if she says no?” Haley asks Kylie making her turn to face them again.
“Then you beg, get on your knees if you have to. Do whatever you need to do, but if Samantha does not join the squad expect practices to be worst than hell.” The warning set them off into a sprint. They were beside Samantha in seconds knowing that Kylie was not messing around. Practices were hell as they were already.
She left them to it. They had to learn to keep out of her business. It infuriated Kylie when they would make decisions for her especially when it came to dating and other personal decisions.
Lunch came before she knew it. Kylie got her lunch and looked around. The squad all sat in their usual table, but for some reason they all looked down at their food totally silent. “She didn’t join, did she?” Kylie asked them sitting down in her spot. The girls didn’t dare lift their heads so they only shook their heads no.
“We tried everything, we really did.” Haley finally spoke for them all. It astonished Kylie how the rookie took all the fall. Every time something went wrong she was to blame and she was the one to fix it. Kylie smiled at them causing their heads to go up slowly not getting where the smile came from.
“I forgot to thank you.” Kylie told them warmly all anger out of her voice. Even though they did it wrong their intentions were good. “But the problem is, that now we have to find another cheerleader.” The, next minutes were spent once again on party arrangements and finding a replacement for Samantha on the squad. “We will be having try-outs then?” Kylie asked for approval getting it when everyone nodded their heads and smiled back at her.
There was sure to be a talented person in this school who could do flips in the air and land on their feet.
People always looked for Kylie and would always find her. She was talked to in the hallway. She was talked to while opening her locker. She was talked to during her usual walk to the bathroom. She had someone by her side everywhere she went. She never minded the attention but at sometimes she wanted nothing but to be left alone. She was never rude which only drew more people to her. Sometimes she wondered why she got all the attention. It was a mystery to her why people always seemed to like her before she even spoke a single word. Yet when she tried to talk to people she didn’t know, the popular upperclassman get angry since she is not suppose to get that low. She is only suppose to talk to people from her level not unpopular freshman and especially not the school nerds or minorities.
Kylie pulled out her keys and unlocked the car. She then threw her stuff on the back of the car and took out her phone to call Alexandria to tell her she was on her way. She tried several times but the girl did not answer. Kylie finally decided to give up and put her phone away speeding up a little wondering why the girl did not pick up the phone.
“Hey miss, how are you doing?” The gate keeper asked her with a smile on his face opening the fence for her. “It’s all good.” Kylie responded not really sure if everything was good. Kylie parked the car and got her stuff from the back seat. She ran up to her room to put her things in their place and came back downstairs a few moments later.
There was still no sign of Alexandria. Kylie began to get worried. Every bad possible scenario went through her head. No nothing happened to her. Kylie told herself stopping her mind from thinking any further down that road.
Kylie kept searching every room inside the house. Alexandria was nowhere to be found. She once again tried the girls cellphone but again the girl did not answer. Panic could not begin to express what she felt right now as she spun in the living thinking of where could her girl be and if she was safe.
She then heard laughter coming from outside. Kylie recognized her girl’s laughter immediately but she did not know who she was with. Rapidly Kylie gathered herself and ran straight outside.
As Kylie stood there she finally felt it, the jealousy, the anger of seeing her girl about to kiss another set of lips that were not her own. This was not the jealousy she had felt towards the waitress in the Chinese place. This was far more powerful and was consuming her entire being.
She was going crazy the last couple minutes thinking the worst possible things had happened to the girl, and yet there she was, about to kiss another girl.
“What is going on here?” Kylie asks making Alexandria look up suddenly dropping the girl in a maid outfit. Kylie then realized that Alexandria was shirtless only having on a sports bra. The girls muscles were showing at there fullest. Kylie also realized that her girl had one of the best abs she had ever seen. But she also realized that the maid had also seen Alexandria shirtless and had the opportunity to be held by her girl.
“This is not what it looks like.” Alex tells Kylie waving her hands in front of her trying to get her point across. Kylie crossed her arms. She knew exactly what she saw. Alexandria was about to kiss another girl.
The anger grew inside Kylie as Alex attended the maid who she had dropped speaking to her in Spanish while the girl also responded in Spanish. She understood nothing of what was said which only made her more upset.
When the maid ran off, Kylie confronted Alexandria still with her arms cross not trusting herself not to hurt the maid or even Alexandria.
She had already been cheated on once. It was not going to happen again.
“Explain.” Kylie demanded begging and even praying the girl had a good explanation. That what she saw truly was a misunderstanding. That the only lips Alexandria wants to kiss are hers.
That the only person Alexandria wants is Kylie Balthazar.
~~~~~ Alex – You Want of Piece of this? ~~~~~
What do I do? ‘Um I don’t know, run!’ Are you crazy? I can’t do that! ‘Now why the hell not?’ Because that would make her even more enraged than she already is.
‘Then tell her she looks beautiful in that dress.’ Alright that sounds good.
“Kylie, have I told you that you look so beautiful in that dress?” I tell her with a crooked smile and eying her up and down my eyes agreeing with what I said.
“You told me that this morning.” Kylie says still mad.
‘Crap you did, alright then tell her you love her in orange.’
“I love you in orange.” I try again.
“You also told me that this morning.” her anger still does not decrease. A challenging eyebrow is then raised causing me to swallow again.
You have got to be kidding me!’You suck at this, why am I even listening to you? ‘Because let’s face it Alex, I’m way smarter than you.’ Well considering that Kylie is still giving me that death glare I would beg to differ. ‘Hey we all know that without me then you would have never gotten the girl.’ You did shit. I got the girl.
Now what do I do genius? ‘Kiss her.’ Now there is an idea!
Walking up to her I get on my toes and grab the back of her head tangling my fingers inside her hair. I close the distance between us and crash my lips against hers making her hands uncross and go around my waist bringing our bodies closer to each other. I forget that I’m wet and get her wet as well. She does not seem to mind as she just kisses me even hungrier than yesterday. When I can no longer breath I slightly part my lips from hers and open my eyes slowly seeing as she does the same.
‘She probably thought you were going to kiss Melissa since you were pretty close when she walked in.’ what do I do? ‘Tell her the truth; that nothing happened nor will ever happen because she’s the only one for you.’ Since when did you become such a romantic? ‘Just tell her!’ Ok, Ok.
“I swear to you nothing happened. We just danced and I was going to tell her I was done when you walked up and scared me. I was not going to kiss her or do anything with her. Do you believe me?” My eyes beg for her to believe me. She looked down at me for what seemed like an eternity but then finally smiled. A smile of my own spread across my face as she began to lower her head making it easier for me to kiss her since I did not have to stand on my toes to reach her lips.
“Don’t we have to pick up your brother?” The air finally returns to my lungs when Kylie remembers and takes her lips off mine.
‘I hate you.’ What did I do? ‘You made her stop.’ But I want to meet her brother. ‘So do I, but couldn’t you have waited at least one more minute?’ you are impossible.
“Alex come on were going to be late.” Kylie drags me through the house until I stop us. “I need to change. I highly doubt you want to go out looking like either.” I take off my shirt and put it over my shoulder.
“Looking like what exactly?” She asks me not sure what I meant. She then sees her reflection on a far mirror and turns to punch me on my arm. The pain comes within the second her fist makes contact with my bare arm. I hold my injured arm and cuss under my breath. Bending down letting out a breath of pure pain out my lungs.
‘God what the hell did she do that for?’ I don’t know but damn she sure can punch.
“Why did you do that for?” I finally ask her rubbing my sore arm the pain finally decreasing.
She glares at me responding, “You did this to me.”
I look at her wet dress and messy hair with a grin on my face. Her lips are no longer shinny due to her lips moving against mine in ways I never thought I would never do with somebody else. A chuckle escapes my throat when I see her angry with me because she looks really hot, but Kylie punches my arm again causing me to shut up and cuss out again in pain.
“God Kylie! I need that arm.” I tell her holding my arm yet again in the same spot she hit me the first time.
Why did I have to fall for a girl that is strong enough to inflict pain on my body?
———-
“Are you ready yet?” I ask Kylie for what seems like the hundredth time in the past fifteen minutes. What is it with woman and their obsession to take hours getting ready? I’ve been ready for like 10 minutes and she’s still trying to figure out what to wear. “We are not going to be late! He doesn’t get out for another half hour. He has soccer practice.” Kylie tells me. I groan and lay on her bed spreading my arms. Her covers are really soft.
“What do think, this one, or this one?” I get up from the bed facing her. Kylie puts the two dresses still on the hanger on her body testing which one looks better. The first one is a pink dress that is a defiantly no, since it is way too short. She takes it away and tries the next one when I shake my head furiously telling her no and trying to clear my mind out of the thoughts that rushed into my head.
“Fine I’ll wear a pair of jeans and a shirt.”
“Do you even know what those are?” I ask her jokingly since all she seems to have and wear is dresses. She throws the dresses angrily at me and goes back to the closet. I arrange the dresses back on the hangers and take them to her ask try to come up with an apology.
Be
fore I come to the conclusion that Kylie is just in a bra and underwear I have already stood there for a full 30 seconds.
“Can you please just not stare at me like that?” I shake my head when I notice her moving her hands in front of my face. I hand her the dresses and quickly exit the closet closing the door behind me letting my body slide down the door.
‘Whoa, she has a nice body. But of course you already knew that since you saw her naked.’ I just saw Kylie in her closet… almost completely naked.
A dirty thought travels my mind, but before I can do anything else the door opens sending my body backwards while I yelp in surprise. I look up only to see Kylie looking down at me curious with a smirk on her face. “Are you ready?” I tell her getting up quicker than I thought possible.
Kylie just nods her head shaking her head at me.
~~~~~ Kylie – Meet little me ~~~~~
They made their way to Gabriel’s school. Alex looked out the window for most of the drive avoiding Kylie and her possible questions. Kylie actually had no questions at the time. All she wanted was to hear the girl’s voice. She didn’t mind that Alex had seen her in just her bra and underwear because she had also stared at the girl almost the exact same way Alex had.
“There is one thing you should know about Gabe,” Kylie spoke, finally breaking the silence. Alex turned away from the window and sat up straight giving Kylie her undivided attention. “He is really competitive and will most likely want to challenge you in whatever we decide to do.” Alex smiled accepting the challenge already liking the idea of meeting the kid.
“Kylie!” Gabe yelled running to hug his favorite and only big sister. Kylie got on one knee and hugged the life out of her brother. His hair was messy and his blue shorts and white shirt were dirty with grass stains. “How you been kid?” Kylie asked him getting up and holding his hand walking towards Alex. The girl waited patiently by the car giving them their space.
“It was okay, I learned that the average human touch their face on average of three to 5 times a minute, which would mean about… 180 to 300 times an hour.” Kylie laughed when Gabe stopped to calculate not really sure how he did the math in his head.
“Gabe this is Alexandria Santiago the friend I told you about.” Kylie waved to Alex who was leaning awkwardly against the blue car standing out with her blue jeans and orange Hollister shirt. Alex got up and approached Gabriel giving him a firm handshake and her best smile. Kylie’s eyes traveled between the girl’s body to Gabe’s smile.
“It’s very nice to meet you Alexandria.” Gabe said respectfully making Kylie a proud sister.
Alex smiled at the small boy and understood why Kylie liked him so much. The little boy was adorable.
Alex had expected him to ask questions as to why she had a bruised lip or how she knew Kylie but he never asked. He kept to himself only speaking when he was asked a direct question. Kylie noticed this and was worried about him not knowing what was going on in his life anymore.
“Where do you want to go?” Kylie asked them both driving to nowhere in particular. Gabe shrugged not really caring where they went as long as he spent time with Kylie and her friend and not in his room bored out of his mind.
He enjoyed the down time but he truly missed his sister checking if he had finished his homework or if he needed to talk about his day. His mother was trying and Gabriel thanked her for that, buy it was Kylie the one who was there when he needed someone the most. It was Kylie’s words he needed and it was her smile that he needed to see so he knows that everything will be alright.
Since his father was back Gabriel could not go outside nor play on Kylie’s computer without his permission. Gabe obediently obliged to his rules buy wanting to explain to his teachers the bruises he was sure to get if he went against his fathers will.
“Hey umm, how about Paintball?” Alex suggested to them pointing out the window to a mini forest where they were advertising paintball wars. A huge smile was plastered on Gabe’s face imaging the things he could. He had seen it in TV and once played a video game but he knew that playing paintball live was going to be a blast.
Kylie shook her head knowing this was a bad idea but one look Gabe and her girl and she pulled the car over making them high-five each other. Not even a hour has passed and Gabe already treated Alex like a long lost best friend. This of course made Kylie smile and proud to have such good people in her life.
“Have you ever done this before?” Kylie asked Alex as they all put on their equipment completely covering their clothes, arms and legs. Gabe had changed into a clean set of clothes earlier which seemed like a good idea at the time but now it didn’t.
“No, but it seems like fun.” The girl responds pointing the paintball riffle at the target 20 feet away. Kylie watched in amazement at the way Alexandria held the gun almost expertly and fired not even flinching as the gun pulled back on her. The paintball fly’s at an amazing speed hitting the target right in the middle making it complexly red as it exploded into the surface.
Everyone’s mouth was opened as Alex brought the riffle down and took her goggles off wanting to see if she hit the target or not. “Where did you learn how to use a gun? Wait no never mind don’t answer that.” Kylie thought better than to ask her these types of questions knowing she might not like the answer or might not even get an answer at all.
“Are the teams ready?” The instructor asked looking to see if everything was alright to start the game. Everyone nodded their heads already in their groups of five. Kylie had asked a couple to join them since they were also lacking team members.
“Remember; play fair and only aim at the opponent’s target vest located in their chest or on their back not any other part of their body or you will be disqualified and asked to leave. Your money will not be refunded if this happens. Points will be given when you hit a still target and an opponent. The winner will be decided when a team collect their 12 teams color flags and all the points are added up.”
The group of people scanned each other looking for the weak links and the strongest players. After the examination is over, Alex puts her goggles back on and smiles at Kylie giving her the strength she desperately needed.
“Sounds easy enough.” Kylie mumbles under her breath putting her own goggles on but then looks at the obstacle course and cringes.
Tree houses are located high on the trees with rope ladder leading up to them and weird looking bridges connecting them all to one another and to a huge tower in the middle with a set of all the team flags. On the ground ware hills and walls for protection as well as logs and a playground.
Kylie’s team all had a red bandanna on their arms indicating they were the red squad. Alex had bandannas on both arms indicating she was their captain meaning if she were to be out the points would be doubled and they entire team would be disqualified. Everyone elected her including the couple since it was also their first time ever doing this. Kylie just didn’t want to get hit so she figured she would hide under her girl till the game was over.
Kylie turned to looked at her brother, scared for him, but Gabe had black war paint on his cheeks waiting for the horn to sound so they could begin. She then looked at her girl closely and also noticed the war paint and all the leather she has on making her look bad-ass.
“Go!” The instructor said blowing the horn making everyone run for safety. Kylie shook her head and ran towards Alex and Gabe. She needs to stop getting so easily distracted by the girl.
“Behind you!” Kylie yelled to Alex as a guy creeps up behind her. Alex quickly turned around and shot him straight in the chest. The guy glared at Kylie and at Alex but did not do anything else since he was already disqualified.
“Thanks.” Alex told her giving Kylie a kiss in the cheek and then ran in the opposite direction. Kylie was stunned for a few seconds placing her hand on her check and closing her eyes. “you coming?” Alex asked her. Kylie snapped out of it and then took cover under Alex who was taking everyone she saw out of the game while still managing to hit a few targets along the way. A kid had taken out the couple that was with them a few minutes ago leaving only Kylie, Alex, and Gabe against 12 more people.
she had gotten how to play the game a few minutes later. Kylie had both the girls and her brothers back. They covered every angle getting anyone who wanted to take them out.
“Do you see anyone?” Kylie asked Alex who was looking over the hill. Alex shook her head and gave her a signal to follow her. Kylie and Gabe followed behind her having her back. “How many more flags do we need?” Kylie asked in a quiet whisper not sure if they were alone. Alex put up one finger and then pointed at the top of a tower where their flag was located.
“Three o’clock!” Gabe then yelled getting their attention away from the tower. Kylie jumped and turned to shoot but it was aimed the wrong direction. “My other three o’clock!” Alex got Kylie out the way with her arm and pressed the trigger hitting the girl in the chest just as she was going to pull the trigger.
Kylie looked for anyone else and found five hiding up in the tree houses aiming straight at them from above. Kylie knew to run as soon she saw them. “run in a zigzag!” Alex told her when passing her with Gabriel under her arm and shooting at a person in a tree house while still managing to run in zigzags herself. Gabriel was just laughing the entire time also trying to shoot at the little boy hiding behind a trash can.
“Can we just get that flag and get this over with?” Kylie whined hiding behind a wall shooting at the people still on the tree houses, her feet already starting to hurt. Alex and Gabe turned to face each other and both nodded preceding forward. Alex somehow managed to take all but one person out the game in a few shots.
“Kylie I’ve been shot.” Kylie turned to Gabe and saw the blue pain on his vest. She watched as Gabe exited the course leaving just three people playing to win.
“We need a plan.” Alex told her looking around for the guy who had shot Gabe. Kylie nodded wanting to hurt the guy who had taken her brother out. “We need to get to the tower as fast and soon as possible so we can see everything from the top and end this thing.”
Out of nowhere Kylie felt something hit her chest. She looked down at her chest and noticed the blue pain. Kylie blinked a couple times before realizing she was out.
like every other disqualified person, Kylie took off her goggles and gun and went to join them in the back. When she got to where they were everyone was sitting down watching attentively at the screens in front of them. She spotted Gabe sitting down on the far wooden log with his mouth open also watching the screen.
“What is going on?” she asked him. Gabe pointed at the screen without saying a single word. Kylie sat down and looked at the screen only for her own mouth to drop.
“Stay still will you?!” the guy yelled running and shooting his gun. Alex was on top of a set of monkey bars running from one to the other as she avoided the shots heading in her direction and also avoided falling. Alex then let her body fall through the monkey bars making Kylie gasp and stand up, but the girl held on to a set of bars and swung her body safety to the ground. She landed perfectly on one knee and her hands supporting her weight on her sides. Alex then raised her head and stood up looking for the guy who was nowhere to be seen.
on the screen Kylie could see the guy a couple feet away from the tower. Alex also spotted him and took off into a sprint. She flew through the course jumping over obstacles like they were nothing.
The crowd was on the edge of their seats eager to see what was going to happen, who was going to win.
Both Kylie and Gabe watched as Alex put her gun behind her and jumped over a log. Alex caught up to the guy shortly after positioning her gun in front of her and aiming for the target up in the tree house. The guy looked behind him almost tripping but caught himself and ran faster also shooting at the targets Alex had not shot at yet.
As they reached the center tower, both Alex and the guy started to climb the huge rope ladder in opposite directions. Alex claimed it with little to no difficulty while the guy had much trouble. Everyone expected Alex to win but then she got tangled on the rope giving the guy the advantage to pass her. A few seconds later Alex was climbing the ladder like if it were on fire.
throughout this whole time something had been bothering Kylie. She knew there was something wrong with what Alex was doing. She couldn’t put her finger on it at first but then she gasped and really payed attention to her girl. She noticed Alex was panting and was really sweaty. She had held her sides from time to time which finally allowed Kylie to understand what was wrong. Alex was hurt. She had a cracked and 2 broken ribs.
~~~~~
“You have got to be kidding me! Kylie seriously I really need that arm!” Alex tells Kylie rubbing her arm. Kylie glared at the girl. “What did I do now huh?” Alex asked still rubbing her now red arm.
“You have broken ribs, you could have killed yourself.” She avoided looking into the girls eyes. She avoided looking at her in general. She simply gathered her things and helped Gabe into the car. “What if something would have happened to you?”
Alex had a huge grin on her face when Kylie turned around finally deciding to confront the girl. Kylie wanted to slap her for making her worry this much but the girl grabbed her hand before she could make any contact.
“You were worried about me?” Alexandria asks getting closer.
Kylie’s breath catches but she soon recovers when reminding herself that her little brother was in the car looking at them.
“We will talk about this later.” Kylie assured her opening her door. She then got into the drivers seat and drove off to return Gabriel. He was going on and on about how amazing Alex was the entire ride home. He even got the video so he could show it to his friends.
“Bye sport.” Kylie tells him when they finally arrive at her old home. Gabe gives her a big hug and then proceeds to give Alexandria a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
“It was very mice to meet you Alex. Thanks for the trophy by the way.”
“No problem.” Alex said giving him a firm handshake.
“What now?” Alex asks Kylie as they leave the porch.
“Now we go home.” She says putting her arm on the girl’s waist and positioning her head on her shoulder.
“I like that idea. I had enough for today.” Alex responds kissing Kylie’s head.
She’s the man!
What would you do if your parents asked you if you were seeing anyone?
1. lie and say you’re not, when you actually have been dating someone
2. Tell the truth and say that you have been dating a girl behind their backs for three years and get kicked out because you are gay
3. say yes and make them believe you are dating a guy but that means you either have to ask one of your guy friends to be your date or pay a random guy you find on the streets
Or
4. dress your girlfriend as a guy and bring her to the dinner
guess which one I chose?
The story behind this is that I made my parents think that I’m dating this guy named Robert, and that he could come over to dinner because they wanted to know if I was single or seeing someone. My parents went all out because I have never brought a guy home, maybe that’s because I’m gay and only date girls, but that is just my guess.
So me being the brilliant person I am, went to Bec’s house with a bag and a huge smile on my face. I gave her a long kiss and told her I needed her to put what was inside the bag on. She was skeptical but opened the bag anyway. I swear my arm still hurts for when she punched me when telling her to dress up as a guy.
The bag contained a blue blazer with a black shirt, blue jeans and a pair of black and white Converse shoes. When done I swear to you that my mouth was on the ground and my eyes wide open. She looked like a guy from head to toe. The outfit looked amazing and she even spiked her short hair which looked awesome by the way not to mention sexy as hell and did not make her look like a girl at all. The shirt and blazer covered her chest really good and plus she wrapped her chest trying to hide the obvious girl parts. Bec has nice a nice body so everything just fit her perfectly leaving little to no trace of Rebbecca and in her place Robert.
We even made out a fake identity for her I mean him.
Robert was born in California that’s why he knows a little Spanish, which will certainly impress my parents. He is 19 years old. Lives with his parents. Goes to Wichita State University which is not a total lie since Rebbecca does attend Wichita State. Robert has a little sister and an older brother. He is planning on being an engineer. To top it all off, we decided to make Robert religious. My parents will totally love her gosh I mean Him.
She is not religious by the way.
When the time comes, I get ready and wait for my ‘Boyfriend’. My mom and dad had made Chicken Alfredo for dinner and had changed into elegant clothing. My mom was in a long blue dress and my dad was in a suit. I had to double take because my father has not worn a suit since his wedding back in 2003.
My heart was threatening to come out of my chest when I heard the doorbell. I quickly jumped out the chair I was in and went to get the door. Rebbecca, wait no Robert, stood with his back to us. I said hey and when turning around he gave the most beautiful orange roses I have ever seen. I went to hug him and gave her a kiss on the cheek not wanting to kiss him on the lips in front of my parents.
You gotta understand that if you are confused reading this, I was way more confused than you. I had to pretend my girlfriend was my boyfriend for crying out loud. I had to refer to Rebbecca as Robert. It was so damn confusing and I almost messed up a couple times but caught myself just in time or Bec saves my messed up ass.
I introduced my parents to Robert and we all went to eat. During dinner my parents started a light conversation. I was so proud of my girl. She acted like a guy even changed her voice a little making it deeper. She was respectful and answer some questions in Spanish.
The dinner went out smoothly and when done Robert volunteered himself to watch the dishes. I helped him while my parents went to the living room.
In the kitchen Rebbecca hugged me and let out a low quiet scream into my shoulder. When done she looked at me and glared. “The things I do for you.” she tells me kissing me.
When the dishes were cleaned and dried, we both joined my parents. A soccer game was on so we sat on a couch together and watched it. I sat close to Bec and put her hand over me while I put my head on her chest like I always do when we watch TV.
After the game I finally realize the position we are in and get off her like she was on fire. My parents looked at me like I’m crazy and get off the couch.
“How far are you taking this? When were you planning to tell us, Alba? When you moved out? Or when you are married to her and have kids but have to pay someone to pretend to be her and the father of your children? My mother asked with tears in her eyes. At this point we knew we were busted.
I looked at my dad, my, mom, and then finally at Rebbecca who had her head down. “I thought you wouldn’t want me here living with you.” I told them standing up to my parents for the first time in my life. I told them the story of how we met. How I fell for her and had to hide her due to the fact that they don’t want anything to do with Gay anything.
At the end of my long speech my dad was crying. In my 18 years on this earth I have only seen him cry three times: when my brother died a few years ago, when his mother died, and on my Quinceañera when I made a slideshow of my life so far.
Long story short, I am not disowned. I am not living in the streets. They are not forcing me to a group therapy or sending me to a therapist to get “Cured”.
I am loved and accepted.
I still have no fricking idea of how they found out Bec is my girlfriend but who cares! I can be with her now. Well they say that no more lying and that she is not allowed in my room with the door closed. What are they afraid that I might get pregnant? Or that I might impregnate her? Sorry mother I do not have magical fingers. Although I wish I did.
~~~~~
Holy mother of God!! I finally got this thing to work. It’s been like what 5 weeks since I’ve uploaded? But hey it’s up now and that’s what counts, right?
Did you like it? Was it worth the long, long, long wait?
And should I keep writing this or stop wasting your time?
