Chapter 46

The music was loud, the lights were warm, and the laughter around the table was even louder.

It was supposed to be a simple night out—just a small gathering between Jennie Kim, Kim Jisoo, Park Chaeyoung, and Lalisa Manoban.

But the moment Jennie decided, very confidently, to take “just two shots” of vodka… everything went downhill.

“I’m fine,” Jennie insisted, cheeks already flushed pink as she dramatically set down her second empty shot glass. “I can handle alcohol.”

Lisa, sitting right beside her, raised a brow. “You said that after the first shot.”

“I mean it this time,” Jennie said, pointing a finger at her like she was making a serious declaration… only for her hand to wobble mid-air.

Jisoo snorted. Rosé nearly choked on her drink.

And then—

Jennie leaned back in her seat, blinking slowly like a sleepy kitten.

“…You know what I want?” she suddenly said.

Lisa sighed softly, already sensing trouble. “What, Nini?”

Jennie turned her head dramatically, eyes sparkling with drunken sincerity.

“I want a girlfriend.”

Silence.

Then—

Rosé burst out laughing. Jisoo slapped the table.

Lisa froze.

“Oh really?” Jisoo teased, trying (and failing) to hold in her laughter. “Tell us more, Jennie.”

Jennie sat up straighter, completely serious now, as if she was about to describe her dream person.

“She has to be… tall,” she started, counting on her fingers.

Lisa blinked.

“Cool… but also cute,” Jennie continued.

Rosé wheezed.

“And she dances really well. Like… really well.”

Jisoo was already reaching for her phone.

Lisa slowly covered her face with one hand.

“And—and…” Jennie leaned forward, voice softening into something oddly fond, “she takes care of me. Even when I’m annoying.”

Lisa peeked at her through her fingers.

Jennie smiled dreamily. “And she has bangs sometimes… and she smells nice… and she’s super hot but also soft…”

At this point, Rosé was gone, laughing into Jisoo’s shoulder.

Jisoo whispered, “She’s literally describing you.”

“I KNOW,” Lisa whispered back, half embarrassed, half amused.

“And her name…” Jennie mumbled, squinting like she was trying really hard to remember something important.

Lisa leaned closer despite herself.

“What’s her name, Nini?”

Jennie gasped softly like she just had the biggest realization of her life.

“Lalisa,” she whispered.

Jisoo lost it.

Rosé nearly fell off her chair.

Lisa just stared at her, completely helpless.

Jennie nodded proudly, clearly pleased with herself. “Yeah… I want a girlfriend like Lisa.”

Lisa chuckled, gently brushing Jennie’s hair away from her face. “You already have Lisa, baby.”

Jennie blinked at her.

“…Really?”

“Yeah.”

Jennie’s lips slowly curved into the softest, happiest smile.

“Then I’m lucky,” she murmured… before immediately flopping forward—right onto Lisa’s shoulder.

Out cold.

“Okay, dream girlfriend, time to go home,” Lisa muttered fondly, wrapping an arm around Jennie to help her up.

Jennie clung to her instantly, nuzzling into her neck. “Mmm… smells nice…”

Jisoo was still filming.

“Say hi to future sober Jennie,” she teased.

Lisa shook her head, laughing under her breath as she carefully supported her drunk girlfriend.

Rosé waved at the camera. “This is blackmail material.”

“Premium content,” Jisoo agreed.

Lisa just sighed, smiling softly as Jennie tightened her grip around her.

The next morning was… peaceful.

Too peaceful.

Jennie stirred in bed, groaning softly as sunlight hit her face.

“…My head…”

She sat up slowly, wincing.

Lisa was already awake, sitting beside her with a glass of water and a knowing smile.

“Good morning, Nini.”

Jennie squinted at her. “Why are you smiling like that?”

“Oh, no reason,” Lisa said innocently. “Drink this first.”

Jennie took the glass, still suspicious.

Before she could ask anything else—

Ping.

Her phone lit up.

Lisa bit her lip.

Jennie frowned, unlocking it… and opening their group chat.

Jisoo 🐰: Good morning~ ☀️

Rosé 🌹: Rise and shine, Jennie~

Jennie narrowed her eyes.

Then she saw the video.

“…No.”

She pressed play.

And there she was.

Drunk. Flushed. Soft.

“I want a girlfriend…”

Jennie’s soul left her body.

“Oh my GOD—”

Lisa burst out laughing beside her.

“Turn it off! TURN IT OFF!” Jennie shrieked, diving for her phone.

But it was too late.

The messages were already flooding in.

Jisoo 🐰: ‘Her name is Lalisa’ 😭😭😭

Rosé 🌹: You were literally confessing to your own girlfriend

Jennie buried her face into the pillow, screaming.

Lisa gently patted her back, still laughing. “You were really cute, though.”

“I was NOT!” Jennie groaned.

“You said I smell nice.”

“…Okay that part is true.”

Lisa grinned.

Jennie peeked at her, cheeks turning red again—this time from embarrassment, not alcohol.

“…I really said all that?”

Lisa nodded, softer now. “Every word.”

Jennie huffed, hiding her face again. “…Delete it.”

“Nope.”

“Lisa.”

“Never.”

Jennie groaned dramatically, then slowly reached out… grabbing Lisa’s arm and pulling her down into the bed.

“…Fine,” she muttered. “But you’re staying here forever so I don’t have to face them.”

Lisa chuckled, wrapping her arms around her.

“Deal.”

Jennie buried her face into her neck, voice soft and shy now.

“…I still mean it, though.”

Lisa smiled.

“I know.”
