Chapter 8

‘The hell did things escalate?!’

I typed the question.

“What do you mean escalate?” The vampire queen asks.

‘All I know is that one second me and the guys were arguing then the next you bring up killing someone.’

I typed my response. The only reason I’m typing and not one of the guys is Neptune and Nightmare won’t let me hand them the tablet.

“Well, have your friends informed you about our hierarchy?” She asks. I nod. “Well we got our spot not just from strength, speed and knowledge. We’re also secretive and keep to ourselves.” She adds.

‘How does this play a part in anything?’

I typed the question that I’m sure the guys and I are all wondering.

“Simple. We only get involved if it relates to us in some way. Well those girls over there I’ve been trying to woo them for a while.”

‘We’re not interested in your lack of riz to get some bitches.’

I interrupted her. The creatures looked shocked at my display of rudeness. I also got pinched by the guys. But the queen just looked amused.

“Well we made a deal.”

‘I know that. The guys explained the deal but that still doesn’t help us understand shit.’

I interrupt her again. She looks at me surprised.

“When did they get the chance to explain everything?” She asks.

‘When we got in the bathroom. Now can you tell us why you started talking about killing someone?’

I reply. She shakes her head a bit then starts up again.

“In simple terms since you’re their mate you’re mine too now. And someone kidnapping a vampire’s mate let alone the queen’s is punished w/ death.”

The guys and I looked at her shocked. She eventually starts waving her hand in front of our faces till we snapped out of it .

‘Now wait a damn minute here! I’m not their mate! Nor will I ever be!’

I typed up. The queen looked at me confused then turned to the Lycan group.

“I thought you said you were mates?” She asks her sounds a bit like an frustrated mother who’s been lied to by their kid.

“Because we are.” Alpha answers.

‘Don’t lie bitch.’

I correct her immediately. The queen starts to scowl at Alpha.

“Then why does she say otherwise?” She asks.

“Well…” Alpha scratches the back of her neck and turn her head to look away from the queen. “We want her as our mate but… she hasn’t accepted us..” She finishes.

“So you’re saying that you’re forcing her to be w/ you?” The queen asks.

“No.. we just tried to convince her to be w/ us.” Alpha says.

‘Is that what you’re calling getting my government to kidnap me for you?’

I typed. The lycans paled when I played that. The queen looked at them and you can tell she was extremely pissed.

‘But on an unrelated note. Can you kill two demons?’

I asked the queen. She looked at me curious and w/ a raised brow. Neptune and Nightmare grew tensed and held me tighter. I don’t know where the other demons are since I can’t see them.

The guys pulled me out of Neptune and Nightmare’s hold.

*A high whistle w/ a snap in the middle.*

*Click, Click.*

The guys are quiet. Suddenly Jack rips the tablet out of my hand and Steve moves me behind him and Jack.

“Woah! What did she say?!” The queen asked shocked at the guys’ reactions.

‘Doesn’t matter right now! But are you going to kill those two demons or are we going to!?’

Jack typed.

“Well I need a reason to or I won’t.” The queen says trying to get Jack to tell her the reason for their suddenly behavior.

Jack just drops the tablet as he and Steve march out the bathroom. Steve is dragging me along.

Steve moves his hand to my wrist.

*Winces.*

The guys stop abruptly and whip around and looks at me. They look at my wrist.

*Long snap.*

The guys get angrier and damn near sprints out the bathroom. Steve moved his hand to where he was dragging me by the arm instead.

So what happened was, the guys asked why I wanted two demons dead. I said I wanted Chloe and Sabrina dead. They asked why besides the obvious reasons.

I told them that the tablet has pictures of me. They said that’s creepy but not to bad to warrant death. What did they get an embarrassing pic of you sleeping?

I told them no then explained that it was multiple photos from when I was younger and before we even met. I told them all the the pics I found and what the oldest one was.

Or at least what I saw before I got on a game. That’s what caused them to get so angry and protective of me that quickly.

Then when Steve went to my wrist and I winced it was because of earlier. So I told them how I stopped typing and was ignoring them.

Well Sabrina and Chloe made it obvious that they weren’t happy w/ that. So what happened was they kept trying to get me to talk to them.

I told them how Chloe threatened to kiss me. Also why Sabrina and I was in the position we were when they arrived.

Well I said when I punched them I forgot about the chains and broke them in order to punch the two.

But the reason why I hadn’t just broke them from the gecko was because as soon as I thought of breaking them they heated up and hurt a bit.

I figured they were magic or some shit. So I left them be. But w/ me also being mad that they chained me I wasn’t going to talk much anyways. But the photos over flowed the glass of what I was and am willing to handle.

But I figured since the chains burnt or heated up when I thought about breaking them then actually breaking them made it worse and that’s added to the existing pain of breaking chains bare handed.

I guess the guys weren’t to pleased to hear that. Currently they’re dragging me through the halls looking for Chloe and Sabrina.

I guess they don’t want to leave me alone. But getting dragged isn’t really fun. I get them to slow down and to let me walk w/ them instead of being dragged.

They agreed and we walked together as they searched. They seemed to get more pissed the longer they have to look for the demons.

I got a funny feeling and glanced back in a not too obvious way. I saw that the other supernaturals, mainly the queen, Alpha and Neptune and Nightmare were following us.

I alerted the guys. They signalled they understood. Now we liked pissing people off. We still do. But we can’t fight the cop that we pissed off or the fireman or something.

So because of this when got improvised versions of smoke bombs that ninjas use. If we had to run from a group of people we have special ones that makes our pursuers tired quicker.

We didn’t want to make it obvious we were going to run. So first Steve stepped wrong and twisted his ankle a bit. So I had to pick him up. That’s just in my nature after all.

Then Jack starts getting tired. He then starts complaining and suggesting that I carry him. Having enough I do. Now we take a few steps w/ them both on my back.

That’s when they throw out specially made powder. They did a stronger portion compared to what we normally do.

But we have used this on Sabrina and Chloe. And it does work. I mean the signs of the stuff taking affect are obvious. So if it works on demons when we do our normal doze then a vampire exposed to more should also feel it’s affects.

We don’t stick around for long to find out though. As soon as I felt them shift slightly I took off. I didn’t jog or run. I flew away.

I knew vampires were or rather are fast. So I’m willing to bet that as soon as the guys threw that stuff the queen ran through it trying to see what we are up to.

But since she doesn’t know exactly what it is. Chances are she’s going to breath some of it in. Rather on accident or plainly just from not really considering it a threat.

I didn’t look back to see if my guess was right, because I’m not some white chick in a horror movie that’s going to trip over a root or something!

I have no idea where I’m heading or anything but I know that I’m not staying where I was.

I continue for a while. I took a few turns here and there. Once I thought we were a safe distance away I stopped and let the guys off my back.

I don’t typically run full force like that since I never really get the chance to. I normally train my stamina but I at most do a run when I do that.

I do a few laps around town then I go to our base that we’ve been hanging out at the most recently. Since we have our makeshift treadmill.

Which is basically a band that pretty long and thick that we can get some friction on. Wrapped around two cylinders. The cylinders have a middle then something around it that can spin.

So that’s our treadmill we put together. So after my laps I get on it and go full force. The guys time me to see how long I can do it for.

Since they don’t really watch me they typically ride on my back like how they just were during this time. When they see me start to slow down they start paying attention again.

But they don’t stop the timer until I’m completely spent and panting. We actually use this as a time to generate power to our hide out.

Which means we have enough power to run multiple electrical things at once. And how we wired it up and what we have we can’t blow a fuse.

But doing this for so long means I get faster and can last longer. So we tend to have to much extra energy.

So what we started doing was we would charge people’s car batteries overnight for them. We of course charged them for it. But we were cheaper than somewhere else anywhere else so they flocked to us.

So we got some decent money from that. Now even though we liked pissing people off. You would never see something actually have a complaint about our services.

Anyone that did was and will be quickly found as a liar. And of course we punish them accordingly.

How? Simple. We wouldn’t sell to them. This bit people in the ass a lot. We are mainly self taught w/ everything we do. So we taught ourselves how to make, build, run, and test electronics.

We made some portable charges. We made enough to where you could buy to rent them and every week you would trade it out for a new one. Yes they lasted a week.

Why not longer? Because like I said we had extra energy so these were to get rid of some of it. They didn’t do much but it helped.

We also got a pretty penny from them. But we also made other things. But those aren’t too important right now. Also we had to constantly make new portable charger.

Why? Because people are disgusting and stupid. Some managed to break them in some of the weirdest ways possible. While others were being stupid and being on their phone too much.

But a lot of kid’s phones died fast even w/ out being on it. So when our chargers came out they were using them. Those guys were our regulars basically.

So some teachers kept the chargers for themselves. But the reason as to why people had to bring them back and exchange them was because they need a specific cord to charge.

A cord that only we could make. So because these students kept needing a new one. They were charged a bit more as insurance.

They understood and paid up. We also made sure that our chargers couldn’t over charge their phones. So ours were the best by far.

Now the teacher who kept the chargers we didn’t like much. Mainly since they’re getting our product for free. So we upgraded them. Now they had specific passwords to open them in order for them to charge your phone.

But after so many tries it would fry the system making them useless. So eventually the teachers started asking where the students were getting the chargers.

They told them us. Well a few teacher and the principal didn’t like that we made it to where they couldn’t get our shit for free anymore.

They tried getting us in trouble but us being us we already had papers in order to sue them. We knew better than to make a product knowing that some people are greedy and would try to take it from people and stuff.

Teachers being no exception. So we made it so that if they did try to expel us or something. We could sue them for stealing from students. And a small little kid’s business.

Basically make it sound like they stole kids lemonade then stole the lemonade from the stand itself. They didn’t like this especially. But they were in a corner.

This means they also got higher prices. I mean they still wronged us so we got to get our justice.

Since we figured making phones would cause issues we decided to make laptops. You had to buy it in payments to own it completely.

But still cheaper than other places. We would make them and see how long they can hold a charge for. Also how fast they can be charged.

This greatly helped w/ the excess energy but not significantly enough. It’s like small stones collected together eventually make a step kind of thing.

But we were making good money and learning new skills. Now because we were making all this stuff. I couldn’t run as frequently as I wanted to train.

But that means we had some much energy that even all that taking from it constantly still wasn’t enough. Which is impressive but scary at the same time.

We didn’t make a lot of laptops to where everyone could get one. Mainly because we wanted to Jack up the prices and w/ them being so rare and few.

They could be higher than a cheap laptop from Walmart but still be relatively cheap compared to a high end and renowned tech company.

But we made it so that if the computer is hacked or someone tries the wrong password to many times it fries.

Now this meant repair fees. But in order to know the right people are working on it. It requires something special to be plugged in.

This special plug drew in the energy so it got rid of extra energy as we worked. Yeah we got too many tricks up our sleeves. But hey we know we’re going to be fine once we reach adulthood.

Plus we could also help the family retire and do more things they wanna do. But back to the present. The guys are still on their wild demon hunt.

I grab one of the knives on Jack’s belt. It’s a hidden knife so no one was expecting it. Especially when I threw it and I caught the two wild demons.

Jack and Steve chuckle darkly. Honestly I think I would have been scared if that was directed at me. To be honest I was still a bit scared.

But seeing Chloe and Sabrina’s faces made it worth it. They turned pale and shrunk back. I surveyed the area and as far as I could tell we were in the clear of any other creatures.

I gave them the thumbs up and their smirks grew. Jack and Steve grabbed one and went w/ it. They just so happened to grab Sabrina.

I saw goosebumps appear on her and she started shaking bad. The guys didn’t care. They immediately started to beat the shit out of her.

They pummelled her for a good 45 minutes before they gave her a final blow then stopped. Chloe’s fear grew when she saw them stop.

She must have thought it was her turn. She was wrong and realized it soon. Steve and Jack both pulled out knives. Chloe looked like she was about to faint from fear.

But that quickly turned to confusion when the guys started cutting Sabrina up. Her screams and wails of pain rang through the hallways.

I didn’t know whether or not she was screaming from the pain or trying to scope out an extremely large location w/ echo location.

When the guys stopped. Sabrina was extremely unrecognizable. She was beaten, bloodied, and cut up. She was sobbing on the floor quietly.

Why quietly? Because the guys made it hurt worse when she cried loudly. They turned to Chloe w/ sadistic smiles. Chloe became ghostly white.

Now I said Chloe had red skin but it was a type of dark deep crimson red. So seeing go from that to ghost white was hilarious to me. I couldn’t help let out a chuckle.

The guys found it amusing as well but they made it more obvious w/ their gut fueled laughter.

They took more time on Chloe. They approached her slower than how they had earlier. They no longer had smirks but deranged and sadistic smiles.

They had their heads tilted slightly to the side. Their eyes were wider than normal. They held their knives up. Jack has his closer to his face than Steve.

But Steve was playing w/ his. Twirling it a bit more like twisting it. The tip is pressed to his opposite hand’s index finger.

Both knives had Sabrina’s blood dripping from them. And the guys had blood splatter on their faces and clothes.

Everytime Chloe was close to fainting. One of the guys would make a loud and sudden noise. This scared her to where she jumped and woke up.

But they started letting her black out a bit before the noise. This I’m guessing by Chloe’s reactions made it worse.

I’m guessing it was like you see a strange figure in a dark place some ways away. They you blink and it’s gone you look away but hear something.

Then when you look back it’s back. But closer. Then it keeps disappearing then reappearing closer and closer to you. Till it’s suddenly behind you or something.

Well in her case next to her. Trapping her. She starts to hyperventilate. Now the guys made sure to fuck Sabrina up where Chloe would have to watch them.

So it’s fair to say that now they’re adding onto Sabrina’s fear as they start w/ Chloe. Now I’m not going into any more details seeing as I’m not trying have any other record and what happened her today at this moment.

Other than our memories and the aftermath. Yeah it got gruesome. The guys had just stopped for a break when the queen and other supernaturals arrived.

This also included the other demons. The supernaturals looked at the me then the guys. Their eyes widened when they saw them.

They guys are drenched in blood at the front. They had knives and insane looks on their faces.

Then the supernaturals looked and saw Sabrina and Chloe’s mangled forms. The lycans gasped and turned their heads. Even Alpha and Beta had to look away.

The demons were frozen in their spots. The color draining from them as they continued to stare in horror at the guys’ handiwork.

The vampire queen gagged momentarily. She stopped herself mid gag and her cheeks puffed out and she looked like she was truly struggling to hold back her barf.

I looked at the guys and they seemed proud at their reactions. I started shaking from wanting to laugh at them so bad.

By how the guys went to Sabrina and Chloe’s bodies and used their blood as paint to write.

“She’s trying not to laugh.”

On the walls. I’m guessing the other supernaturals saw me start to shake and either got confused or worried if not both.

I looked at the supernaturals as I saw them read the sentence. They all got pale. Even the Vampire queen got paler. I didn’t think that was possible.

But this made me want to laugh more.

“A-are these the two d-demons you wanted me to kill?” The queen asked. We could hear that she was uncertain wether or not she should speak and gain any more of the guys’ attention.

The guys nodded. She nods in return and ends Sabrina and Chloe quickly. The guys groan then write in the two now dead demons’ blood.

“We weren’t done having fun.”

And as if to add insult to injury they even drew pouty and sad faces. One even had a single tear. I was doubled over and shaking bad from how much I wanted to laugh.

I even started pounding on the floor. The guys laughed at my state. I eventually calmed down after a while. I looked back and saw the supernaturals all shaking in some way.

Some were really bad but some were only a bit noticable.

“I never would have thought those two could be a threat.” Alpha says. The guys start to laugh like lunatics. They then write on the wall.

“Birds of a feather flock together. Until the cat comes. But for us when the cat sees us it disappears one way or another.”

They chuckle darkly. It honestly seems like they’re Scooby Doo villains mix w/ like the Joker or something. But what stood out was the multiple supernatural gulps.
