Chapter 9

MIA

After spending a little time at my bestie house Ashley. I was telling her about my date last night with my male friend. It was sweet and such a gentleman but he was a little boring.

I didn’t want a relationship with Vanessa we only have sex and were good friends but I was ready for a relationship with a man. I was having a hard time finding that. I really wanted kids not now but I didn’t want to bed old having kids. I wanted a big family. I was in my bed with a box of tissues and a small box of strawberry ice cream, which I was now on my second. I was watching The Lion King; this was Vanessa’s and my favorite move. I didn’t like the new and real Lion King so I just watched the old ones and I cried. This movie always gets me emotional.

“Girl, why you in here crying?” my best friend Ashley said standing in the door way. Damn how she gets in here without me hearing her.

“How did you get in here?” I said scooping another spoonful of ice cream in my mouth.

“We’ll I called you like 500 hundred times but you didn’t answer so I got worried and came over, and good thing I did” she said while scanning my used tissues on my bed.

“We’ll I’m fine” I said getting back to the movie. Ashley came over and turned my flat screen tv off, and it was just getting to the best part.

“Come on get up” she said pulling up on my arm

“No, I’m gone stay” I said

“No, you’re not staying here, you always in the house and I never see you.” she said truthful. She was right me and her barley hung out now since I was working with Vanessa and going to school.

“So, where we going?” I said still eating on my ice cream

“First we going to the mall to shop, then we gone to stop by the salon and get hooked up and then we going out” she said excited, I just looked at her and nodded me head

“We’ll I’m gone go take a shower and then we can head out” I said getting up. She jumped back as my used-up tissue fell to the floor.

“Yo booger noise ass” she said still standing back. I took my tissues and start running towards her and she ran cursing me out while I was laughing.

After chasing Ashley with my “infested” tissues. I got in the shower, and brushed my teeth. I slid on my grey sweat pants and a white v neck t- shirt and my grey and white Jordan’s. I put my hair in a sloppy bun and threw in my sunglasses.

“Let’s go trick” I said. Without saying a word, we jumped in her Toyota and headed to the mall.

We got there less than 30 mins. She parked and we hopped out the car going into the first store we saw which was Endless Ocean. After spending at least two hours trying on stuff, I finally picked out and outfit but Ashley didn’t find anything. So, we went to Five’s. they had hella stuff in their store.

“Aint that Vanessa cousin” Ashley said looking behind her. I looked the direction she was looking and spotted Kaylyn and some dark chick next to her. I wonder who she is.
