TERRIANNA

“Hello, did you find anything okay” I said smiling at the customer, who I was ringing up.

“Yes, Thank You” she said putting her groceries on the thing so I can ring her up.

20 years old, working at super Walmart, and still living with my parents, it’s pretty much sad. Other than that, my life is miserable. I didn’t graduate from high school, I didn’t feel guilty about what happened between with me and Vanessa but after Kia left with the money that we stole from Vanessa, I went into depressed. She played me and ran off. Just like I played Vanessa. I been plotting since then but I’m just waiting for the right opportunity. Vanessa was supposed to be my meal ticket after I graduated. My original plan was to blame Kia and Jennifer for everything but the plan was over once Vanessa heard me on the phone.

“Hey Terrianna” someone said coming into my line. I turned to see it was Kaylyn, Vanessa’s cousin. I know she was feeling some type of way about me about what happened. I honestly didn’t care but I had to be friendly and see if I can get in good with her.

“Hi” I waved at her and smirked at me. I always seen her momma at Walmart, I smiled at them as they put all their stuff on the thing so I can ring them up. I waited to ring then up because every time they would go over their limit and I would have to take stuff off, it annoying as hell. So, I looked and they nodded.

“Wait, sweetly what’s the price now?” Kaylyn mom asked me. I typed in a number and said

“The price is 56.80” I said looking back at her making sure she wanted me to keep going and she just nodded and I kept going and it was a lot of stuff. I decided to struck up a conversation.

“How are you?” I asked

“Fine” she responded dryly

“I haven’t seen you in forever” I said still ringing things up trying to figure out what to talk about.

“Yeah it’s been some years” She said typing on her phone. I didn’t want to bring up Vanessa but it seemed to be my only option.

“How is Vanessa?” I asked not really caring

“She’s fine since yo broke her heart” She said rolling her eyes. I wanted to jump over this counter and knock her ass out.

“Again, I am sorry for that. I was just upset with her cheating on me with Kia and Quetta. I didn’t mean to hurt her” I said as I had to make myself cry to have her convinced.

“Yeah well I’m sure she’s over it now. Everybody makes mistakes. I understand” She said kind of opening up to me. Bingo I got where I want her.

“So, you still living out here I see” I said wiping my fake tears

“Yup,” She said

“Maybe we can hang out like old times just me and you. Catch up. I really don’t have any friends” I said playing sad. She looked at me and thought about it for a minute.

“Are you doing anything tomorrow night?” Kaylyn asked me as I was still ringing up

“No, why?” I asked not looking at her.

“We’ll come to this party with me” she said

“I am really not the partying type” I said not really in the mood to party for real for real especially with her. Last time I went to a party with her she left me for the whole night for some guy and I wasn’t about to do that again. But I needed to get in good with her since she was close with Vanessa.

“You said you don’t have any friends, I’m just trying get you outside and mingle a little bit” she said

“I guess I can come out for one night” I said

“Yeah see, give me yo phone” she said and I handed her my phone as she was typing something in.

“What you doing?” I asked confused

“I put my number in yo phone. Just make sure you call me tomorrow so we can go look for you something to wear” She said handing me back my phone and I put it in my pocket.

“Your total is 375.48” I said looking at Kaylyn mom who looked like I was crazy.

“I beg your pardon, that’s too much, we got to but some of this back” she said and I huffed but it’s my job.

“Why do you do this all the time?” Kaylyn said angry

“I don’t know Kaylyn, I thought we would have enough baby” Kaylyn mom said like she had no idea.

“Ugh, you do this all the time” Kaylyn said putting down her chips.

“I know, just help me Kaylyn” her mom said and they start taking stuff off. All of a sudden I see this little chubby boy come up in a wheelchairs but the one with wheels on it so you don’t have to use your hands, kaylyn mom was in one too and I think was Kaylyn brother.

“Mama, can I have this?” He said holding up a toy.

“Nooooooo” his mom said yelling

“Ugh, Kaylyn always get what she want” he said looking like he was finna cry

“Shut up chunk boy” Kaylyn said teasing him, I chuckled a little bit, I can tell this is gone be a long day. I have to becareful and make sure they don’t know what I’m on. 

Time to put a plan into action.
