Chapter 6
When Alex began to moan, Ann withdrew, then pushed Alex’s left knee forward. She lowered herself onto Alex’s back, using her hand to guide the cock into her sex, then, holding Alex’s hips, slowly pushed it deep into her. From this angle it pressed into her G-spot. When the girl started rocking against her back, the movement of the toy within her created a deep, intense arousal.
Alex moaned again. Her fingers curled into the bedsheets as Ann drove the dildo far into her. Each stroke brought a new rush of desire, but the girl kept her movements slow. Her hands caressed Alex’s waist as she moved. Then her left hand crept higher, sliding over Alex’s breast, kneading as she increased the speed of her movements.
The passion building within Alex was fierce. Ann was in total control of her body. If she tried to press back into the girl, she withdrew, forcing Alex to take only what she gave her, and no more, though what she was giving her was becoming an inferno. She felt her friend’s lips and teeth against her back as she thrust into her.
“Ann….” she groaned. “Ann, babe, you have to let me come…”
“Soon,” her friend crooned. She pinched Alex’s nipple. “Real soon.”
Ann drew back again. A few minutes later, Alex was coming to realize that she should trust her promises during sex as little as in other areas, as she found herself aching for release.
And then Ann began to thrust harder, faster. Her grasp on Alex’s breast tightened, and her other hand wrapped around Alex’s thigh, fingers seeking her clit. Alex could hear her excitement, too, before the growth of lust within her became unstoppable. Ann’s fingers scrubbed against her clit while the cock thrust deep into her. Her body tensed, tensed more, then broke into a thousand shards of feeling as she came hard. She heard Ann’s moans reach a peak, then felt the girl shudder against her back.
Both girls whimpered with the results of their shared climax. Alex imagined she could feel Ann’s convulsions in the dildo, driving her own on, until her body’s own contractions began to still.
When Ann finally withdrew, Alex continued to lie face down on the bed, panting. Eventually, she felt her friend-turned-temporary-lover – affair partner? No, Alex was Ann’s affair partner, not the other way around – move from the bed, then heard her heading to the bathroom to clean the toy.
The two visited some of their old familiar places. Their banter was friendly, as it had been when they’d lived together, but Alex occasionally felt a wave of lust as she glanced at the smaller girl. She’d checked out of her room, moving her cases to Ann’s, extending Ann’s reservation through the following weekend. In spite of the negatives – Ann’s manipulation, her deceptive nature, and her cheating on her girlfriend, she found herself looking forward to the next time they could be naked together.
Possibly it was less in spite of and more because of. She wasn’t limited to the few hours of a one night stand at Gabby’s, and yet nothing about her time with Ann could be permanent. They had time to enjoy each other, without the trappings of a long-term commitment, which she absolutely couldn’t do with Ann.
When it was time for the rehearsal dinner, she left her friend, who wasn’t part of the wedding party. She’d seen several of her friends the previous day, but now without the influence of the weed gummy she felt that she was meeting them for the first time in two years. She was excited for the upcoming ceremony and her part in it.
“Did you resolve your issues with the gee eff?” Alex asked, as she entered Ann’s room.
“There are no issues,” Ann said. “I called her. She understands I was in a hurry.”
“You were in a hurry,” Alex agreed. “Does she understand why you were in a hurry, or what you were in a hurry for?”
Ann ignored the question. “Now I’m in a hurry to get you into bed,” she said.
“Music to my ears?” Alex agreed. “No more kissing, though,” she added. Ann’s eyes narrowed at her comment. “Let’s not pretend this is anything other than fucking. You don’t need to seduce me with weed or feelings.”
Ann shrugged. “Okay.”
When Saturday morning arrived, Alex was worried that she wouldn’t be in shape for her bridesmaid duties. She and Ann had spent much of the night fucking, with and without the dildo, and her body felt stiff. Fortunately, the effects wore off well enough after a shower and the exercise of walking to the nearby breakfast place.
By the time she was changing into her pale blue silk bridesmaid dress she was feeling fine. Better than fine. After a two year dry spell, she’d had two nights of great sex.
Well, that was slightly unfair. Jackson hadn’t been bad, in the beginning, but even then it hadn’t been like her time at Gabby’s. Unfortunately the chance of locating anything like Gabby’s was vanishingly small. Still, she hadn’t been motivated to find anything, so she hadn’t tried. When she returned home, she would look for resources.
They’d followed the no kissing rule. It hadn’t been hard. They’d had plenty of mutual desire, and plenty of feelings driving them without layering in romantic complications that kissing brought with it. They were friends. She didn’t dislike Ann, in spite of her being a manipulative asshole. That’s just how she was. She wondered if Madison was aware of that.
The wedding went without a problem, and in spite of her memories of sexy times with Kayla, she was delighted to see her joined to Anita. She considered both women among her closest friends.
She hadn’t been seated with Ann at the reception, but once the formal part was over, they hung out together. When Allison called an end to the party and sent everyone to the bar so that the band could set up, Ann slipped an arm into Alex’s as they walked, then waved her purse where Alex would notice.
“Hmm,” Alex murmured, leaning close to her friend’s ear. “Are you trying to seduce me again?”
“Do I need to?” Ann asked in return.
“You know you don’t,” Alex replied. “There will be squacking when we get back to the hotel.”
“Right,” Ann agreed. “But we have our own private rock show in an hour and a half. I figure we should find a quiet place half an hour before the show and get into the right frame of mind. I mean, I will, I’m just warning you if you want to join me you might want to skip cocktails.”
“Valid point,” said Alex. “And I still have a week before there’s the chance of a random drug test. Not that I’d care if I get fired, to be honest.”
“We don’t have testing,” said Ann. “I forget that’s a thing.”
“Mostly it isn’t,” Alex said. “I don’t know anyone who was randomly tested. Only after workplace mishaps. But I’d prefer to avoid getting a mark on my employment record, in case I try to transfer.”
They stayed at the bar for almost an hour, chatting with other friends, then wandered off to an area Ann recalled from their earlier visit. The sun was setting, and though it wasn’t yet dark, the area around the large tree behind the tall hedge was deserted. Within a few moments Ann was passing Alex a smoldering joint.
“You still want to move back here?” Ann asked. “You think you can transfer?”
“I could try,” Alex said, “but it would be to the West coast? Still not as close as I’d like. I’m just spoiled, I guess. If there was work here, I’d quit in a heartbeat.” After a moment, she added, “I’ve been thinking I should make more effort to find my own means of entertainment? I’ve been down since I realized I wasn’t going anywhere with Jackson.”
She took her turn again. Ann waited silently. Alex exhaled. “Being back here gives me some hope. I need to stay in touch. What about you? Are you happy where you are?”
“It’s me,” Ann confessed. “I don’t know if I’m more happy than I would be here, but it’s where I need to be.”
“Yeah, I think I get that,” said Alex. She eyed the stub of the joint. “Time to be heading back?”
Ann nodded, sucking in smoke, then passing the tube to Alex for the final draw. She pinched out the glow, packaged up the butt and looked for the path. It was becoming quite dark.
They found the worn path, and the footing became easier. A little further along, just before they left the trees, a woman was standing on a picnic table. Curious, Alex paused their journey. Another woman leaned against the table in jeans and a tee shirt.
“Don’t mind us, she’s just looking for a good shot.”
The woman on the table looked down. Alex saw that she’d been looking through a camera. “Oh, hi,” she said. “Yes, I think this will do.” She lowered herself to the table and climbed down using a bench, taking the other woman’s arm for support. She was also in jeans and tee shirt.
The first woman looked at Alex’s bridesmaid dress and Ann’s wine red dress with narrow cross straps. “You must be with the wedding. We’re gatecrashers.”
“I’m no gatecrasher,” the woman with the camera said. Her tone was haughty, but she had a friendly smile. “I’ve been here all day.” Her accent sounded English. “And I have the band’s and the planners’ permission to be here. You’re just my plus one.”
“Story of my life,” the first woman said. She held out a hand. “I’m Lauren.” Alex and Ann returned her handshake, giving their names. “You might remember Mika, who’s been putting you in uncomfortable positions all day.”
“Story of my life,” Alex said, with a grin, as she took the other woman’s hand. In the low light it was hard to see clearly, but she thought she recognized the wedding photographer with the strawberry blonde bun, though she’d been wearing a suit, and was now in tee shirt and jeans, like her companion. “Are you planning to watch the show from here?”
“No, I was just scouting for a place I might use later.” She repositioned her camera, then took Lauren’s hand. “She’s the fan, but as long as she’s here for the music, I’ll find something valuable to do with my time.”
They turned to walk toward the pavilion. Alex followed close behind, arm-in-arm with Ann.
It looked like the band equipment was set up. A short woman was tuning a guitar. The area before the pavilion was well-lit. Alex had turned to continue their conversation with the couple when Ann exploded with laughter.
“Oh, my God. Your tee shirts,” she said.
“Ah, yes,” said Mika. “We match.”
Both women were wearing tee shirts with multiple sketches of birds. Lauren, who filled out her tee shirt enough to form shadows, wore birds described as “boobies”, while slender Mika’s birds were “small British tits.”
Alex joined in Ann’s laughter. The effects of the weed seemed close to peaking, but she thought she’d find the shirts funny even if she wasn’t high, The women were clearly wearing them for amusement value.
Alex and Ann both wanted water, so they found one of the coolers in the cleared area. The crowd grew around them as they slaked their thirst. At the sound of harsh guitar chords it began to grow more quickly. From what Kayla had said, it would be a tiny audience by the band’s current standard, but it had swelled to at least twice the size of the number of wedding guests. Perhaps one in three were wearing a suit or dress now. Though Alex felt she recognized many of the newly-arrived fans from Gabby’s. She’d lost track of Mika and Lauren.
Neither Ann nor Alex had seen the band, though they both remembered the singer from Gabby’s. Alex recalled that Ann had involved her in a scheme to get Kayla’s attention. “The bartender is straight,” she’d written, and dropped the note into Kayla’s cleavage. Alex had since discovered that the bartender wasn’t straight, and Ann wasn’t honest – well, that part she already knew. But the bartender – Michelle – was the vocalist of a band that was now gaining a statewide following.
“Before the show starts,” Ann shouted into her ear, the noise level of the crowd having risen, “I want to say, that dress looks great on you, and I am so looking forward to taking it off you.”
“Likewise,” Alex said, letting her eyes drift over Ann’s very sexy red dress.
Then Michelle yelled a welcome, and the show was underway.
The show was as good as Kayla had promised. Alex screamed and leaped around with abandon.
She saw Lauren dancing by herself. Presumably her partner was off taking the photographs she planned. She dragged Ann over to her to make a group of three, which seemed to free Lauren to bounce and yell like everyone else.
Some time later, Alex saw Mika standing at the edge of the crowd, watching Lauren indulgently. So her partner really was the only fan. Alex hoped she’d found some interesting photos. Eventually, she came over to join them, but encouraged Lauren to continue to rock out with her new companions.
