The Three Conditions

​The white void was silent, save for the voice that echoed like thunder wrapped in velvet.

​"Three wishes," the entity-God-stated simply. "That is the standard package for a soul of your… particular circumstances."

​The girl floated in the nothingness, her memories of Earth fading but her desires burning bright. She knew exactly what she wanted.

​"I want to be Kurumi Tokisaki from Date A Live."

​God hummed, a vibration that shook the void.

​"Granted. However, a caveat. You will possess her physique, her voice, and her breathtaking beauty. But her Spirit powers-Zafkiel, the manipulation of time, the shadows-are beyond the energy limit of a single wish. You will be Kurumi Tokisaki in flesh, but human in capability."

​The girl frowned but nodded. She had expected a catch.

​"Fine. For my second wish, I want to be reincarnated into the world of One Piece. I want complete, encyclopedic knowledge of all forms of sword fighting and melee combat ingrained in my mind."

​"Knowledge is not muscle memory," God warned. "I can give you the library, but you must read the books. Your body will not know how to move until you force it to learn what your mind already knows."

​"I'm willing to work for it," she replied. "And for my third wish… I want Kurumi's powers."

​She paused, calculating.

​"But since you said I can't have them directly, I want them to exist as a Devil Fruit. A fruit that, like the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, has evaded the World Government for centuries. I want it to be destined only for me. I want its true power to be locked behind an Awakening, so it starts weak but grows to become the Emperor of Time."

​God paused, the light shifting.

​"A loop… clever. Very well. The fruit will exist. It is currently lost, hidden from the World Government's eyes. You will not spawn with it. You must find it. It waits for you in the Grand Line. Until then, you are merely a human with a dangerous face."

​"And Haki?" she asked hopefully.

​"No," God denied instantly. "To grant you Haki mastery would shatter the balance of the early seas. You watched the anime; you know the theory. Train your spirit yourself."

​With a snap of divine fingers, the floor dropped out from under her.
