Chapter 24

LISA POV:

The world outside the penthouse completely ceased to exist.

Lisa kept her hands locked tightly around Jennie’s waist, her lips moving against Jennie’s in a deep, burning rhythm. She felt a wave of pure adrenaline rush through her body. The silent car ride, the fake smiles for Marco’s camera, the suffocating contract-all of it melted away into the darkness of the living room. There was only the sound of their ragged breathing and the absolute heat of Jennie’s body pressed flat against hers.

Without breaking the kiss for even a single second, Lisa slid her arms lower. She hooked them firmly under Jennie’s thighs, lifting her smaller body completely off the hardwood floor.

Jennie let out a soft, surprised gasp directly into Lisa’s mouth. Instinctively, her legs wrapped around Lisa’s waist, her bare toes digging into the back of Lisa’s linen trousers. Her arms tightened like a vice around Lisa’s neck, her fingers clenching into the short blonde hair at the base of Lisa’s skull. She hung onto Lisa like she was falling, her mouth opening wider, welcoming the fierce, desperate weight of the kiss.

Lisa carried her easily. Her bare feet moved silently and deliberately across the floor, guided by pure muscle memory through the dark living room and down the long hallway toward Jennie’s bedroom in Wing A. She didn’t want to break the connection. She couldn’t. She kept her lips firmly glued to Jennie’s, tasting the sweet, intoxicating berry tint on her lips, her tongue sliding against Jennie’s in a deep, possessive cadence.

When Lisa reached the bedroom, she nudged the heavy wooden door open with her shoulder. The room was dark, lit only by the faint, cool moonlight spilling through the massive glass windows.

Lisa walked straight to the center of the room, where the large, plush bed sat covered in silk sheets. Slowly, carefully, Lisa lowered Jennie down onto the mattress. The soft white silk of Jennie’s sundress spread out around her like a halo as her back hit the pillows.

Lisa didn’t pull away. She hovered directly over Jennie, her palms resting on the mattress on either side of Jennie’s head, her heart hammering violently against her ribs. She was breathless, her chest heaving, her eyes dark and heavy with a wild, intense focus.

In the dim moonlight, Jennie looked absolutely stunning. Her dark hair was wildly messy across the white pillows, her cheeks were deeply flushed, and her pink lips were wet and slightly parted as she panted for air. She looked up at Lisa, her cat-like eyes wide and glassy with a raw, undeniable desire. The executive armor was completely gone. She was entirely bare.

Lisa leaned down slightly, her voice dropping into a deep, raspy whisper that shook with restraint.

“Jennie,” Lisa breathed, her eyes locking onto Jennie’s. “Look at me.”

Jennie blinked up at her, her small fingers reaching up to rest against the open collar of Lisa’s linen shirt. “I’m looking, Lisa.”

“This isn’t for the media,” Lisa said, her voice heavy with emotion, needing to make sure the boundaries were crystal clear. “There are no cameras here. No shareholders. No contract. This is just you and me. If we do this… it’s real.”

Lisa paused, her thumb reaching out to gently trace the soft, warm curve of Jennie’s jawline. Her touch was incredibly tender, even though her entire body was shaking with the urge to lean back down. “Can I keep going? Do I have your permission, Jen?”

Jennie’s eyes softened completely, a tiny, breathless smile touching her lips at Lisa’s care. She didn’t answer with words. Instead, she slid her hands up Lisa’s chest, wrapping them firmly around the back of Lisa’s neck, and pulled her down with a fierce, sudden strength.

“Yes,” Jennie whispered against Lisa’s lips. “Please, Lisa. Don’t stop.”

That single word exploded the last of Lisa’s control.

Lisa leaned down and kissed her again, harder this time, her mouth consuming Jennie’s with a passionate, heavy intensity. Jennie let out a soft whimper of pure relief, her body arching up to meet Lisa’s weight.

Slowly, deliberately, Lisa’s hands moved to the delicate, thin straps of Jennie’s white silk sundress. Her long fingers gently eased the fabric down over Jennie’s soft shoulders, her lips leaving Jennie’s mouth to trail a line of burning kisses down the sensitive skin of her neck. Jennie’s head tilted back, her breath coming in short, sharp gasps as Lisa’s mouth found the sharp curve of her collarbone.

“Lisa…” Jennie breathed, her nails digging into the linen fabric of Lisa’s shirt, her mind completely spinning out of control.

Lisa moved with a slow, agonizing worship. She untied the delicate ribbon at the back of the dress, letting the white silk slide down further, exposing the smooth, glowing skin of Jennie’s waist. Every time Lisa’s warm, slightly rough palms brushed against her skin, Jennie shuddered, a pleasant heat rushing straight through her veins.

Jennie’s fingers grew frantic. She began pulling at the buttons of Lisa’s cream linen shirt, her small hands clumsy with desperation until she managed to open it, pushing the fabric off Lisa’s broad shoulders. The moment Lisa’s bare chest pressed down against hers, Jennie let out a shaky, beautiful sigh. The contrast of Lisa’s toned, warm skin against her own felt so good it made her eyes watering.

Lisa’s hands traveled lower, her palms sliding down the sides of Jennie’s waist, mapping out every curve, every dip of her body with complete reverence. She moved her lips down to the soft skin of Jennie’s stomach, making Jennie’s breath hitch sharply as she trembled beneath the touch. Every movement was deliberate, every touch was a promise.

Jennie’s legs tangled with Lisa’s under the cool silk sheets, the friction creating a heavy, sweet ache that filled the entire room. Jennie arched her back, her fingers gripping Lisa’s shoulders tightly as Lisa leaned back up to capture her mouth once more, their tongues dancing in a slow, deep, and intoxicating rhythm.

They moved together in the dark, a perfect, chaotic harmony of heat, soft sighs, and skin against skin. The fake engagement was completely dead, buried beneath the mattress. In the quiet of the midnight hour, they were finally building something entirely their own.
