Chapter 5
Lisa swore she wasn’t that “whipped”.
She really did.
But the evidence was… not on her side.
It started with something small—like how Jennie Kim casually mentioned she was craving strawberry milk at 2 a.m. Lisa, who had been half-asleep and fully wrapped in a blanket burrito, blinked once, then immediately got up.
“Where are you going?” Jennie mumbled, voice soft and sleepy.
“Nowhere,” Lisa Manoban whispered, already pulling on a hoodie. “Go back to sleep.”
Twenty minutes later, she was back—with not just strawberry milk, but snacks, a cute pastry, and somehow… flowers?
Jennie sat up, hair messy, eyes squinting at the small pile in Lisa’s arms.
“…Did you rob a convenience store?”
Lisa grinned sheepishly. “You said you were craving something.”
“I said strawberry milk.”
“And I got that!” Lisa said, holding it up proudly. “The rest just… came along.”
Jennie stared at her for a second, lips twitching. “You’re ridiculous.”
“And you love me.”
“…Unfortunately.”
But she took the milk, and Lisa watched her like she’d just handed over the rarest treasure in the world.
—
It didn’t stop there.
Jennie so much as pouted—just a little—and suddenly Lisa was offering everything.
“Do you want my hoodie?”
“You already gave me one.”
“…Do you want another one?”
Jennie raised a brow. “Lisa.”
“Yes?”
“You’re cold.”
“I’m fine.”
“You’re literally shivering.”
Lisa pulled the sleeves over her hands. “Fashion.”
Jennie rolled her eyes, stood up, and wrapped Lisa in a blanket instead. “Sit.”
Lisa sat.
Immediately.
No hesitation.
Jennie paused, then narrowed her eyes. “You didn’t even argue.”
“I trust your judgment,” Lisa said, completely serious.
“…You’re impossible.”
Lisa just smiled at her, soft and fond, like Jennie hung the stars in the sky personally.
—
The others noticed, of course.
“Oh my god,” someone whispered from across the room as Lisa handed Jennie her drink before she even asked. “She didn’t even look up.”
“Telepathy?” another suggested.
“No,” came the reply. “Whipped.”
Lisa heard them.
She ignored them.
Because Jennie had just sighed softly and leaned into her shoulder, and suddenly nothing else mattered.
“Are you comfortable?” Lisa asked immediately.
“Mhm.”
“Do you want a pillow?”
“I’m okay.”
“A blanket?”
“Lisa.”
“Yes?”
Jennie tilted her head up, meeting her eyes with a small smile. “Just stay.”
And that—out of everything—was the only thing Lisa didn’t need to think about.
She wrapped an arm around Jennie, holding her close without a second thought.
“Okay,” Lisa murmured. “I can do that.”
Across the room, someone made a dramatic gagging noise.
Lisa didn’t care.
Because Jennie was warm against her, soft and content, and if being this hopelessly, ridiculously, undeniably whipped meant she got this?
Yeah.
She wasn’t even going to try denying it anymore.
