Chapter 18

Lisa swore she only meant to send it to her private account.

That was the first thought in her head as she stared at her phone, eyes wide, heart dropping straight to the floor.

“…No way.”

Her thumb hovered over the screen, frozen, while the little red heart notifications began popping up one after another—faster, louder, deadlier.

1000 likes.

The likes grew faster that her cats reflexes, In just few minutes, which weird cause she only have 19 people followers in her private account.

“…No, no, no, no—”

She tapped the post.

And there it was.

A full carousel.

Not just any photos.

Their anniversary photos.

The first picture: Jennie wrapped around her from behind, chin resting on Lisa’s shoulder, both of them smiling softly like the world didn’t exist beyond that moment.

The second: Lisa kissing Jennie’s cheek, Jennie’s eyes closed, lips curved in that small, dangerous smile only Lisa got to see.

The third—

“Oh my god.”

The third was worse.

Jennie sitting on her lap, arms looped around Lisa’s neck, their foreheads touching, noses brushing.

Intimate. Soft. Undeniably them.

And the caption.

Lisa didn’t even remember typing it, but there it was in full, affectionate glory:

“Happy 3rd year, Nini 🤍 Still the best decision I ever made.”

“…I’m dead.”

Lisa locked her phone.

Unlocked it again.

The likes had doubled.

Comments were flooding in.

Fans. Friends. Strangers.

Everyone.

“Lalisa?”

Lisa physically flinched at the voice.

Jennie.

Standing at the doorway, hair slightly messy from just waking up, wearing one of Lisa’s oversized shirts—the one Lisa loved on her.

“What’s wrong?” Jennie asked, tilting her head, soft concern in her eyes.

Lisa turned slowly, holding her phone like it was a weapon that had just betrayed her.

“I… may have… done something.”

Jennie raised a brow. “Define something.”

Lisa inhaled.

“…I posted our anniversary photos.”

Jennie blinked.

“Oh.”

Pause.

Lisa squeezed her eyes shut. “On my public account.”

Another pause.

“…Oh.”

Silence.

Then—

“YOU WHAT?!”

Jennie was beside her in seconds, snatching the phone from Lisa’s hands with shocking speed.

Her eyes scanned the screen.

Once.

Twice.

Then—

“…Oh my god.”

Lisa braced herself.

“I know, I know, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to—I thought I was on my private acc and I just—”

“Lisa.”

Lisa stopped.

Jennie’s voice wasn’t angry.

It was… something else.

Lisa slowly opened her eyes.

Jennie was still staring at the photos.

But instead of panic—

She was smiling.

Softly.

“…You wrote ‘best decision I ever made,’” Jennie murmured.

Lisa blinked. “That’s what you’re focusing on?!”

Jennie looked up, lips twitching.

“You’re so whipped.”

Lisa’s jaw dropped. “I’m whipped?! You’re literally sitting on my lap in that photo!”

“And you look like you’d let me do it forever.”

“…I would.”

Jennie’s smile softened even more.

The room grew quiet.

Warm.

Comfortable.

And then—

Her phone buzzed again.

Jennie glanced down.

“…Oh.”

Lisa groaned. “Don’t say it like that.”

Jennie turned the screen toward her.

Jisoo commented: “Finally.”
Rosé commented: “Took you long enough.”

Lisa blinked.

“…They knew?”

Jennie snorted. “Of course they knew.”

Lisa buried her face in her hands. “I’m actually the last person to realize my own life, aren’t I?”

Jennie laughed, the sound light and fond.

Then she gently pulled Lisa’s hands away.

“Hey.”

Lisa peeked at her.

“…Are you mad?”

Jennie tilted her head.

“Should I be?”

“I mean—our privacy, our relationship—everyone knows now.”

Jennie hummed, pretending to think.

Then she stepped closer.

Closer.

Until Lisa could feel her breath.

“I spent a whole year loving you quietly,” Jennie said softly. “Maybe it’s okay if the world knows now.”

Lisa’s heart stuttered.

“…You’re not mad?”

Jennie shook her head.

Then, with a playful glint in her eyes—

“I’m more concerned about that third photo.”

Lisa choked. “WHAT ABOUT IT?!”

Jennie leaned in, whispering against her ear—

“We should recreate it.”

Lisa froze.

Red.

Gone.

Absolutely gone.

“Nini—”

But Jennie had already grabbed her phone again.

“Wait—what are you doing?”

Jennie smirked.

“If we’re going public,” she said, opening Instagram, “we’re doing it properly.”

Before Lisa could protest—

Jennie climbed onto her lap.

Just like the photo.

Arms around her neck.

Forehead pressed to hers.

Lisa’s brain short-circuited.

“Nini—people—comments—this is—”

“Smile, Lili.”

Click.

Jennie posted it.

Lisa didn’t even get a chance to breathe before Jennie added a caption:

“Guess we’re not private anymore 🤍”

Lisa stared at her.

“You’re insane.”

Jennie grinned.

“You love it.”

“…I love you.”

Jennie softened instantly.

“Good answer.”

And just like that—

In the middle of chaos, notifications exploding, their secret no longer a secret—

Jennie leaned in and kissed her.

Soft.

Slow.

Certain.

Lisa melted into it without hesitation.

Because honestly?

If this was the way the world found out—

She wouldn’t change a thing.
