Chapter 7

Lisa swore she wasn’t that obsessed.

She really did.

But the evidence? Oh, it said otherwise.

Because right now, in the middle of a quiet afternoon, Lisa sat cross-legged on the couch, her entire world narrowed down to one thing—Jennie’s cheeks.

Specifically, Jennie’s soft, squishy, absolutely irresistible mandu cheeks.

“Nini…” Lisa murmured, voice low and dangerously affectionate.

Jennie didn’t even look up from her phone. “Hmm?”

Lisa scooted closer.

And closer.

Until—

Squish.

“Niniii…” Lisa dragged the nickname out, gently pressing both of Jennie’s cheeks together, turning her lips into a pout.

Jennie finally looked up, eyes narrowing. “Lalisa Manoban.”

Lisa grinned, completely unbothered. “Yes, my Nini?”

“Stop squishing my face.”

“No.”

Jennie blinked. “No?”

Lisa leaned in, eyes sparkling like she had just discovered treasure. “I physically cannot. It’s a problem. A serious one.”

Jennie tried to stay annoyed, she really did—but Lisa was already poking her cheek again.

Poke.

“You’re so soft,” Lisa whispered dramatically, like she was confessing a deep secret. “How is this legal?”

Jennie sighed, but her lips twitched. “I’m not a stress ball, Lisa.”

Lisa gasped. “Blasphemy. You’re the best stress ball.”

Another squish.

“Niniiiii…”

Jennie grabbed Lisa’s wrists this time, stopping her. “You’ve been doing this for the past ten minutes.”

“And I’m not tired yet.”

“That’s the problem!”

Lisa tilted her head, studying her girlfriend like she was the most fascinating thing in existence—which, to be fair, she was.

“You don’t understand,” Lisa said softly. “Your cheeks are… perfect.”

Jennie rolled her eyes. “You’re ridiculous.”

“But you love me.”

Jennie paused.

“…Unfortunately.”

Lisa beamed.

That was all the permission she needed.

In one swift move, she wrapped her arms around Jennie’s waist and pulled her closer, burying her face against Jennie’s cheek.

“Mmm… Nini,” she mumbled, voice muffled. “So soft…”

Jennie let out a quiet huff, but her hands instinctively came up to rest on Lisa’s shoulders.

“You’re clingy today.”

“Today?” Lisa pulled back, offended. “I’m always clingy.”

“Exactly.”

Lisa grinned, completely unapologetic. “And you love it.”

Jennie didn’t answer.

Instead, she gently tapped Lisa’s forehead. “You’re weird.”

Lisa caught her hand, pressing a quick kiss to her knuckles. “Your weird.”

Jennie’s cheeks flushed—whether from the sudden affection or from Lisa’s earlier squishing, she wasn’t sure.

Lisa noticed immediately.

Her eyes lit up.

“Oh my god,” she whispered, delighted. “You’re getting even puffier.”

Jennie’s eyes widened. “Don’t you dare—”

Squish.

“NINI!!!”

Jennie burst out laughing despite herself, trying to push Lisa away, but Lisa only held on tighter, giggling like she’d just won the lottery.

“You’re so cute!” Lisa exclaimed. “I can’t help it!”

“You’re impossible!”

“And you’re adorable.”

Jennie groaned, hiding her face in Lisa’s shoulder. “Stop calling me that…”

Lisa softened instantly, her grip loosening just enough to wrap Jennie in a proper hug.

“Okay,” she whispered.

A pause.

Then—

“…Nini.”

Jennie let out a muffled laugh. “You said you’d stop!”

“I said I’d stop calling you adorable. Not Nini.”

“That’s not fair!”

Lisa just smiled, pressing a gentle kiss to Jennie’s cheek—the very cheek she had been obsessing over all afternoon.

“Nothing about you is fair,” Lisa murmured. “You’re too cute. It’s dangerous.”

Jennie huffed, but she didn’t pull away.

Instead, she leaned into Lisa just a little more.

“…You’re lucky I love you.”

Lisa’s grin softened into something warm, something real.

“I know,” she whispered.

Then, just because she couldn’t help herself—

One last squish.

“Niniiiii.”

“LISA!”
