Chapter 6

It was early morning, and the gates of Kindergarten Royal stood tall and majestic, with soft golden light reflecting off its polished signboard. The garden outside was already blooming with hibiscus and marigold, while parents arrived one by one, holding the tiny hands of children with oversized backpacks and sleepy smiles.

A sleek silver car pulled up by the drop-off lane. Out stepped Freen Sarocha Chankimha, poised as ever, dressed in a tailored white blouse tucked into navy slacks. Her hair was neatly tied back, her sunglasses perched high, and behind her strode Jennie, Tzuyu, and Namtan—each dressed with effortless elegance, like celebrities on a quiet errand. But this wasn’t any errand. Today was Mavin’s amazing day. Her aunt, Freen Sarocha Chankimha send him to kindergarten.

“Yeahhh!!! My aunt sent me to kindergarten today,” said Mavin very cheerfully.

Freen smiled slightly seeing Mavin in a very happy mood.

“Freen, if Becky is successful with her IVF results. I’m sure your child is the same age as Mavin,” Namtan patted Freen’s shoulder gently.

“Enough, Namtan. Don’t say anything about Becky again. Our friend’s mood will be ruined later,” Tzuyu looked at Namtan.

Namtan raised both her hands. “Okay, I’m sorry,” she then run inside.

Inside, the administrative staff greeted Freen and her friends like royalty.

“How is the renovation process going? Is it okay?”

“It went smoothly,” the principal told Freen. “Only 30% left.”

“Good.”

The principal herself showed them around—pointing at mural-painted corridors, music corners, resting pods, and activity gardens. Everything was high-end, modern, and safe. Perfect.

Becky snorted in annoyance, her eyes closed tightly. She leaned her head back against the car seat.

She feels uncomfortable today. Her face is pale and her body is a bit weak.

“Mommy, are you okay?,” asked Fosbein.

“I’m okay, Rox,” she said without looking back.

Fahnareeh placed her palm on Becky’s forehead. Becky was very surprised by her action.

“Nareeh, how many times has mommy said don’t open your seat belt without my permission first?! It’s dangerous.”

“I’m already big girl, mommy.”

Becky held her cheek. “You are still a baby to me.”

“Mommy, you have a fever,” said Fahnareeh. She started to cry sobbing.

“Hey, hey don’t cry. Mommy’s okay.”

“Mommy, you have to eat,” said Fastian.

Becky looked at Fastian. “Where did you get that bread from?,” She felt confused. She didn’t prepare bread for her children today.

“My pocket.”

“What the..,” Becky didn’t continue her sentence.

Fahnareeh laughed out loud.

“You are so mischievous, Tian,” Fosbein shook his head. He flicked Fastian’s forehead.

Becky got out of the car and led them out. She didn’t want the triplets to be late for class.

“Goodbye, mommy!”

“Goodbye, my lovely triplets!,”

During recess, Freen and her friends gave some foods to the children at the canteen.

They sat near the flower garden beside the cafeteria, spooning soft porridge into giggling mouths. Jennie split her milk bun into four and passed it around. Namtan peeled fruits. Tzuyu wiped a child’s messy cheeks. Freen laughed softly at something Mavin whispered into her ear, the corners of her lips tilting up in rare fondness.

And from behind a painted pillar—three pairs of little eyes watched them with intense, narrowed expressions.

“They’re back…” Fosbein muttered, arms crossed.

Fastian peeked from beside him, frowning. “Why is that brat here again?” he looked at Prawit.

Fahnareeh, however, was more captivated by the food than the people. Her small nose twitched as she sniffed the scent of porridge and warm milk bun drifting across the playground. Her stomach let out a quiet rumble.

“They have my favorite snack,” she murmured, eyes locked on a gleaming one pack of jelly in Tzuyu’s hand.

“No,” Fosbein said firmly, grabbing her wrist before she could take a step. “We already have food made by pur mommy.*

“But I want jelly…” she pouted, staring longingly.

Fastian stood in front of her like a barrier. “We’re not going near them, Nareeh. They’re mean. Remember what they did?”

Fahnareeh sighed, her tiny shoulders slumping. “But the food…”

“Fosbein, Fastian,” Madam Nesh’s voice called gently from behind. She had been watching from the bench, sunglasses shielding her worried eyes. “What happened? Why all of you don’t eat with your friends?”

Fosbein pointed at Freen and her friends. “They’re mean people,” he said. “We don’t like them.”

“Especially Prawit,” said Fastian.

“It’s not nice to say that to others.”

“It’s true,” said Fahnareeh.

Madam Nesh just gave their warm smiles. She persuaded the three of them to go there to eat together. They nodded their heads in agreement. Among them, Fahnareeh was the happiest one to go there.

“Aunt, can you give me jelly?,” Fahnareeh asked when she already stand up beside Tzuyu.

Tzuyu’s grip on a small jelly packet loosened when she saw Fahnareeh’s face.

“Uh..oh..aunt dropped the jelly,” said Fahnareeh. She took it and asked Tzuyu for permission. Tzuyu nodded her head without saying anything. She still in shock.

She rubbed her eyes and looked towards Fahnareeh. She was shocked again when she saw more than one kids copy paste her friend’s face.

“What the heck?!!,”

She went towards Freen and Namtan.

“Freen, you must look at this! You will shocked untill you want to pee here!,” said Tzuyu.

Freen hit Tzuyu on the head. “Your language, Tzuyu!,”

“I’m serious here, Freen Sarocha Chankimha!,”

Tzuyu pulled Freen closer to the triplets table.

The triplets were eating and joking around. They were busy in their own world, unaware that Freen and her friends was watching them.

“Freen, are you sure your IVF process with Becky is unsuccessful?,” asked Jennie.

“I…I don’t know,” she still sees them.

One of the teacher there who were take care of the children dared to approach Freen. “Sorry to bother you. Are the three of them making you uncomfortable? I can tell them to eat at another table.”

“No need,” Freen looked at him. “Can I know their background?,”

“But all the children here, their backgrounds are…,”

Freen interrupted. “I don’t want excuses. I want to know the background of the three of them. Just tell me now!,” she said firmly.
