Chapter 65
Requested – Robomia09
You woke up already wrapped around Dani like you were afraid she’d vanish if you loosened your grip. Your leg was thrown over her hip, your arm draped across her waist, your face tucked into the warm curve of her neck. She shifted slightly beneath you, stretching, and you instinctively tightened your hold, pulling her close with a sleepy little groan.
She laughed softly – that warm, breathy sound that always made your chest melt. Her fingers brushed through your hair, slow and gentle. “Y/N… sweetheart, I need to get up.”
You didn’t even lift your head. “No you don’t.”
“I have a meeting soon,” she reminded you, voice soft, but amused.
“Cancel it,” you mumbled into her skin, tightening your leg around her like a koala refusing to be peeled off a tree.
She smiled – you could feel it against your forehead. “I can’t.”
You finally lifted your head, blinking at her with the most dramatic pout you could muster. “Then I’m staying like this.”
She cupped your cheek, thumb brushing your skin in a way that made your heart flutter. “You’re clingy today.”
“I’m clingy every day,” you corrected, leaning into her palm.
“True,” she admitted with a laugh, “but today you’re extra.”
You shifted your weight and climbed fully on top of her, lying across her chest like she was your personal mattress. “Then don’t leave.”
Her arms slid around your back automatically, holding you close. “I’ll be back in a few hours.”
“That’s too long.”
She kissed your cheek, slow and warm. “I’ll make it up to you.”
You perked up instantly. “Promise?”
She kissed you – soft, lingering, her lips warm against yours. “Promise.”
*
When she finally got dressed, you followed her around the house like a shadow with abandonment issues.
She tried to put on her shoes. You sat on her lap.
She tried to grab her bag. You grabbed her sleeve.
She tried to walk to the door. You wrapped your arms around her waist from behind, pressing your cheek between her shoulder blades.
“Y/N,” she said, laughing breathlessly as she tried to turn around. “I have to go.”
“I don’t want you to.”
She turned in your arms, cupping your face with both hands. Her eyes softened. “I’ll be back before dinner.”
“That’s so far away.”
“It’s four hours.”
“Exactly.”
She kissed you again – slow, reassuring, thumb brushing your jaw. “I’ll text you.”
“I want you, not your texts.”
Her breath caught just a little – you saw it, the way her eyes flickered down to your mouth. “I know,” she murmured. “I’ll hurry.”
You watched her walk out the door, arms crossed, pout dramatic enough to win an award.
The second it closed, you let out a groan that echoed through the whole house.
Manon walked by with a mug of tea. “She’s been gone thirty seconds.”
“I’m dying.”
“You’re ridiculous.”
“I miss her.”
“You’re still ridiculous.”
*
The girls dragged you to the couch like you were a toddler who needed supervision.
Sophia put on a movie. Megan bought snacks. Lara sat behind you and started braiding your hair. Yoonchae plopped onto your legs like a weighted blanket. Manon just sighed like an exhausted mother.
But none of it helped.
Every ten minuted:
“I miss Dani.”
“We know,” Sophia said without looking away from the screen.
“She’s been gone forever.”
“It’s been twenty minutes,” Manon corrected.
“I’m lonely.”
“You’re surrounded by five people.” Megan pointed out.
“I want her.”
Lara patted your knee sympathetically. “We know girl.”
You flopped sideways onto the couch, dramatic as ever. “I’m going to shrivel up.”
Yoonchae giggled. “You’re so dramatic.”
“I’m in pain.”
“You’re in love,” Sophia corrected.
“Same thing,” you muttered.
You tried to watch the movie. You tried to gossip. You tried to eat snacks.
But every little thing reminded you of Dani.
A character wore a hoodie like hers. You sighed loudly.
Someone mentioned dancing. You groaned.
Someone said ‘tour.’ You whimpered.
Finally, Megan threw a pillow at you. “Y/N, please. We get it.”
“I just want her back,” you said, hugging the pillow dramatically.
Manon rolled her eyes. “You’re going to sprint to her when she walks in.”
“No I won’t,” you lied.
“You absolutely will,” Lara said.
*
You heard the front door click.
Your head snapped up like a dog hearing a treat bag.
“Dani?” you called, already halfway off the couch.
Her voice floated down the hallway – warm, tired, soft. “I’m home!”
You didn’t walk. You launched.
You sprinted down the hall, nearly slipping on the floor, and threw yourself at her the second she appeared.
She caught you with a soft “oof,” laughing as you wrapped your arms and legs around her like a koala.
“Hi, baby,” she murmured, kissing your cheek.
You buried your face in her neck, inhaling her like she was oxygen. “I missed you.”
“I can tell,” she said, her voice warm and a little breathless from the impact.
You tightened your hold. “Don’t leave me ever again.”
She rubbed your back, her fingers tracing slow circles. “It was four hours.”
“Four hours too long.”
She smiled, brushing your hair back. “You’re adorable.”
“You owe me cuddles.”
“I know.”
“And kisses.”
“I know.”
“And attention.”
She laughed, cheeks warming. “I know.”
You pulled back just enough to look at her – her cheeks flushed from the cold, her eyes soft and warm just for you.
“Come here,” you murmured, leaning in to kiss her jaw.
She inhaled sharply – surprised, flustered. “Y/N…”
You kissed her again, slower this time, letting your lips linger. “I’ve been needy all day.”
Her breath caught. “I… noticed.”
You slid down from her waist but kept her hand in yours, tugging her gently.
“Come with me.”
She blinked, flustered. “Where are we going?”
“Bedroom.”
Her cheeks flushed instantly. “Y/N…”
“I’ve been waiting for you,” you said, stepping closer, your lips brushing her cheek. “Thinking about you.”
She swallowed, her voice barely steady. “You’re… you’re being dangerous.”
You smiled. “Good.”
You tugged her again, firmer this time, and she followed, breath uneven.
“Y/N,” she whispered, “the girls are right there.”
“I don’t care.”
She exhaled shakily. “You’re killing me.”
You leaned in, your lips brushing her ear. “Then let me finish the job.”
Her knees actually buckled.
“Bedroom,” you repeated softly. “Now.”
She nodded – small, helpless, flustered. “Okay.”
*
The moment the bedroom door clicked shut, Dani’s composure cracked.
She stood there, breathing hard, cheeks flushed, eyes dark and wide.
“Y/N…” she whispered, voice trembling. “You’ve been like this all day.”
You stepped toward her slowly, deliberately. “And you left me.”
She swallowed. “I had to.”
You reached her, sliding your hands up her waist. “I don’t care.”
Her breath hitched.
“I wanted you,” you murmured, brushing your lips along her jaw. “Still want you.”
She let out a soft, helpless sound – half whine, half breath.
“Y/N… please.”
You smiled against her skin. “You’re flustered.”
“i’m – I’m not-” she stammered, cheeks burning.
“You are,” you whispered, kissing her neck. “And you like it.”
Her hands found your hips, gripping lightly. “You’re not playing fair.”
“I’m not trying to.”
You kissed her – slow, deep, hungry – and she melted instantly, fingers tightening in your shirt.
You walked her backward until her knees hit the bed, and she fell onto it with a soft gasp.
You climbed over her, straddling her hips, your hands braced on either side of her head.
She looked up at you – breathless, flushed, eyes blown wide.
“Y/N,” she whispered, voice shaking. “I’ll give you whatever you want.”
You leaned down, lips brushing hers. “I know.”
Her hands slid up your back, pulling you closer. Your mouths met again – harder, messier, needier.
Her hoodie bunched under your fingers. Your shirt rode up. Her breath hitched when your lips trailed down her neck. She whispered your name like a prayer.
“Y/N… if you keep doing that…”
You kissed lower.
She gasped – sharp, needy.
You kissed her again, and the moment her breath caught beneath you, everything else slipped out of focus – the room, the light, the world – until all that remained was the warmth between you, blurring softly into the kind of closeness you’d been aching for all day.

okay damn when did it get so hot in here…
